I constantly feel like I have a baby moving inside me but the tests say I'm not pregnant.

I've taken a total of 4 home tests & back in the beginning of October I had a blood test taken and they have all been negative. I feel it most when I sit down & relax. It feels like something is alway under my ribs on my right side....is it my fat? I'm not huge but I do have a little bit of chub still from my last pregnancy 16 months ago. This is driving me crazy cause I don't understand why I'm feeling a baby kick my stomach and rolling around inside me :(

My youngest is 4 and I still feel it. sometimes its like little kicks, sometimes I bend a certain way and it feels like a leg is stuck in my ribs or something. I've heard this is normal. I'm surprised no one has told you.

I had a feeling similar to this after having my daughter...for about a year and if freaked me out to. Finally I made my gyno do an ultrasound and it was something to do with my intestines. They hadn't moved back down completely...they put me on a med and said it would just take some more time for everything to shift back since it was my first pregnancy and all....Anyway. I think you should go talk to a doc about it if you are really concerned. Also if it is painful it could be the same thing that was wrong with me.

i am lucky enough to had a dad that is a massage therapist. I was having the same problem that you have. I was even showing the signs that i was pregnant. my dad's practice is mostly though reflexology. so when he worked on me for a bit he told me that i was having intestinal problems. the 1st couple of months it was the intestines going back in place, then it was that i wasn't drinking enough water. so i was having hard stools. plus i was adjusting to a baby outside my body and feeding from me. about 1/2 the water i was drinking was going to my milk so you can understand that. i think that the only time you were feeling this is when you do relax. when you walk you tense up. if your right side is hurting then it's either your spleen or liver, i can't remember which, that is having problems.

This is a long shot... but there are muscles in between your ribs that can get cramps and spasms in them. I only just thought of this because I have back problems and have had rib spasms before and you know what, it felt like something moving! I think you should see a physiotherapist and see what they can find.

I had my last (5th) child 3 1/2 yrs ago and occasionally still feel movements like I did at 5 mos pregnant. I also lactated for 3 years even though I never breast fed. Maybe other comments on your post can help the both of us understand what is going on. I would suggest you go to your OB and get an ultrasound just to be on the safe side.

Since you have already experienced pregnancy I would suggest that it is your digestive system as mentioned on another comment. Although it is difficult to say I had a similiar experience and it turned out I had irritable bowel syndrome. It was gas and food passing through the bowels across the stomach in irratic patterns, and I swear it felt like a baby kicking me. I have since had surgery so I can definately say I cannot be pregnant, but I still get the sensation of a baby rolling and kicking. Weird, but true.

I would however go to your doctor to have a checkup anyway as no one can really say what it is from a simple description. Hope all goes well.

I can understand how you feel, and I felt the same way a few months after I had my first... But ended up being pregnant 3 months later. I know I was feeling movement before I got pregnant, so I talked to my gyno, and she said that it was possibly muscle spasms, or strained nerves, that were stressed during pregnancy, and childbirth, and thay may have been what I was feeling. Also she said that it is possible that it was "phantom baby". And that is the same Idea that people who have lost their limbs, can still "feel" them. So it very well could be in your head. And if you even if you are pregnant, if it isn't coming up on tests, then probably you aren't pregnant enough to feel the baby move anyway.

But anything is possible... Are you on any medications that might give you a false negative???

i still feel my son moving around in me all the time like every day and my son is 20 months old for me its because i miss being pregnant and i loved feeling my son move inside of me its an awesome feeling to me, do you miss being pregnant or miss your baby moving inside of you? did you want to be pregnant if so thats probally why you still feel stuff

I get a similar thing. I'm getting married in march and then we're trying for another one, so maybe with me its just that i'm impatient. But also you get so tuned into your body when you're pregnant and you feel every little thing, its hard to just switch that off. We might both just be feeling our digestive systems :)
