Both my son and daughter were hungry all the time. Both my grandmother (raised 7 kids) and my mother (raised 4 kids) said to put in a little bit of cereal and little bit a banana in the bottle. Put enough in so that the formula is still able to come out of the bottle It helps them feel full. I had no problem with it.

2 mo. is about time for him to go through a growing spert. They will be hungry more often during them. If he is hungry feed him. If you're not sure, try a nuk - he may just want to suck. Or he could have gas... sometimes they cry from the pain. If so try a baby tummy drops to see if that is an issue.

My 4 yr old use to get gas we couldn't get out... he would burp & fart all the time, but still had issues. The drops really helped him & it made it a lot easier on me too.

some Dr will tell you one thing and another a different thing... you have to do what you feel is right for your baby. If you feel like he isn't getting enough with just milk, then do cereal.. I had a 9 lbs 5 oz girl and a 10 lb 6 oz boy... they both came home and was eatting the yolk of eggs and mash potatoes and gravy..... You have to look at it like this.. back in the days of our parents, grandparents, great grandparents... etc what did they eat? you think that they only had milk? I know that all my family had more than just that.. I have nieces and they all ate since they came home from the hospital and so did my cousin and my siblings... so do what you feel is right for your baby... just don't tell the Dr cause some will tell you its wrong and when yhou question them they treat you like your an idoit cause you don't have a dr degree... but I talk to my Dr about it with my dr and got that, but change dr with my son and my dr was very ok with it.. so you have to do what you feel is right... Is your little one sleeping good?

All 3 of my kids acted like they were starving. I didnt ask a dr what I should do. I started them on cereal at the age of 2 wks. Then started them on baby food at the age of 2 mths. I never had problems giving it to them.

My son was so hungry all of the time and I was breastfeeding. He would feed off both sides and sometimes a bottle. By 3 months, I couldn't keep up with him and started him on a little rice cereal twice a day. I mixed rice cereal with some water so it was a soupy texture.

you put it just like the formula say your baby eats a 4oz bottle put the 4oz water then add one scoop formula and one scoop cereal i started one bottle a day and by the time she was 3 1/2 months she was on 2cereal bottles one in the morning one at night ive just slowly added more as she got older and shes been just fine wemon used to do it all the time back in the day. use single grain rice cereal. my little brother was so hungry like your son was when he was little my mothers doctor had her start him at 2weeks with cereal and he was just fine and he weighed around what your son did at birth. he is know almost 7foot tall and around 165lbs so it doesnt make your child over weight either as some may like to say it would.

yes weught does play a factor that is why we started solids at 4 months not 6 but at two months the babies digestive system isnt fully ready to process solids

first of all how big is your bubs my boys were both big born and i was told by mid wife not to go on their age when feeding them but by their weight as all babies are not the same i did this then when they were 3 -3 1/2 months i started giving them cereal in their bottles this seemed to make them content

Definately no solids yet! If baby is hungry, more milk, more often.

If it had been an hour and a half since starting her last feed, I fed Charlotte when she was that age. It is normal for a young baby to need to eat 6 up to 18 times a day, that's every hour and a half.

She settled into 6 feeds / 24 hrs eventually, but she would go up to 3 or 4 hours AM and then cluster feed every 2 hrs PM leading up to her night sleep. I've read this is very normal behaviour. She would then sleep a solid 6-11 hrs and then start again.

I kept a log of her feeding and sleeping for her whole life up to 7 mths when she got her first teeth and went a bit haywire. So I know exactly what she did day to day and week to week.

Follow your baby's instructions, not the Formula can's. Their little tummies are smaller than their little fist and empties quickly, formula or breast.

my doctor was the one who said it was ok women used to do it all the time back in the day. they WONT CHOKE if your watching and dont make it thick its not different then giving them a bottle of formula some babies just need alittle extra to hold them over. and as long as you start them alittle at a time they shouldnt have a problem with being constipated if you ease them onto it slowly and if they get enough water in their normal formula bottle.every baby is different you just need to find what works best for your son. good luck hun

DO NOT put it in the bottle it's a CHOKING HAZARD and just give her more milk, my son ate through two tins of formula a week the big cans of nestle good start but we stayed with just milk and after we gave him a pacifier. babies go through growth spurts every couple months/weeks and over eat and so many people don't realize that they usually last about 3-4 days. Your baby cannot properly digest cereal and it's only going to make them constipated so then you have a whole other problem on your hands. At 2 months the only thing your baby needs is milk!!!!!

if he is hungry, feed him more, he sounds like he just needs more food. also, sometimes babies that age just want to suck, its a comfort thing. binkies work GREAT!

i just put it in her bottle start with the rice cereal start small at first dont make it thick im trying to think back i switched one of scoop formula out for the cereal. i only did it at night in her night bottle to start and i used the fast flow nipples because i found it got stuck sometimes and she would get frustrated if she couldnt get it out i didnt switch to oatmeal cereal in her bottle until she was 6months. i slowly started to give it to her with a spoon every now and then too to get her used to eating from a spoon again dont make it to think then either. hope it helps

If he's hungry, give him more milk. It's too early to start cereals or anything else just yet. Babies go through phases of eating. There will be times when he will eat constantly, and there will be times when he doesn't eat much. He's getting ready for a growth spurt when he's eating a lot... when he doesn't eat much is when he's actually growing (that's what my son's ped. told me).
