Use the nasal aspirator (booger sucker) on her before every feeding, elevate her bed by putting a flat pillow UNDER her mattress and I would definitely look into a Humidifier not vaporizer. I went through that with my 2 week old daughter and this is exactly what the nurse told me to do. If you are unsure on how to use the aspirator take it slow until you get comfortable just remember the who thing wont fit up her nose usually only the tip goes a cm in the nose no more and soon you will a pro :) Hope she feels better and don't give up hope it will get better. I agree with Jennifer, you have to use Saline, perfectly natural, and suction, they cannot blow their noses, we have to do it, thye will squeal, it is awful, but worth it. We would actually use the saline, suction, then saline again. it will only help dry her out. That is good! Don't feel helpless, you are not alone. Vicks vapo rub on their chest, and I know this sounds crazy but on their bottoms of the feet, then put socks on . Old wives tale, I did it with my babies, just sayin'... get the water(large pot) boiling in the house or use a humidstat, this loosens up the mucus.

did they check her ears? also try running a humidifier that will help loosen the congestion.

try suctioning her nose. Do this before you feed her and she should be able to drink her bottle. If the mucus is really thick, use a saline mist to help loosen it first. Just make sure you wait to suction her again for at least a half hour after she eats, because you could cause her to throw up.

For the diarrhea try gripewater for can find it at walgreen and add it to 2 oze of water in a bottle every 4 to6 hours its also great for teething and stomic upset and gas. It works great and it taste good so it's not a fight to get her to drink it.

Johnsons Vapor bubble bath works great! It's cost a little more but it helps. also baby vapor rub is very helpful. If that doesn't help there is Little Noses which is a sterile Saline Nasel Mist. It helps clear out the junk plus is will shorten the duration of the cold. My babys doctor recommended it. My daughter really hates when we have to use it but it works and she is much happier when she can breath easier.

The Vicks Vaporizer worked great for my son. I thought he had the flu but he didn't have a fever. Turned out he's allergic to ceder which is really bad right now. Congestion, runny nose, coughing, but the vaporizer did a great job clearing him up...Don't get me wrong, she's still going to have allergies or whatever, but while the machine is on she'll be better.

to get rid of the congestion, run hot bath water and shut the bathroom door for about 5 minutes. It will make a steam room, just sit in there for a while and that will clear her up! It may be alleries .... try using just a little bit of of the baby sinus medication. Good Luck!
