i need some advise on how to go about teaching my kids to write their names.

i am trying to teach my children how to write their names and they just don't want to sit down and try it. they draw everything but letters...what can i do?

How old are your children? Maybe they're just not ready yet. Have you tried using those workbooks that allow children to trace letters? Maybe that's an easier first step. How familiar are they with letters? Can they identify them? Are you trying to get them to write with both upper and lower case letters (which could be harder), or just upper case (capital) letters? Do you have other toys, like letter magnets, where they can "feel" the shapes of the letters? You could even try making the letters out of clay.
