Is it normal to hate your body after you have a child?

I had a baby 10 months ago and can't seem to get back to my normal weight and size before I had the baby. It is nearly impossible to get to the gym and I'm watching what I eat, but it doesn't seem to help any. I think I look disgusting and my husband says that I'm beautiful, but I think he would like me more if I looked like I did before. Is it normal or does everyone feel like this and can just get the weight off quicker?

i feel the exact same way. i look in the mirror and hate what i see. i found it hard enough after my first daughter to lose the weight and even harder after my second one.

hey! You're totally not alone, my daughter is 6 months old, and besides the initial weight you loose through birth, i haven't been able to loose a pound! My mum was all, breastfeeding will help you loose the weight, i was back to my pre pregnancy weight 6 weeks down the track with all 4 of my babies....hah! lucky for some! very active and yet still waiting! but seriously, listen to hubby! He loves you and hes there to make you feel good about yourself so try to give in to yourself and think positive. you earnt those curves! im sure when bub gets a bit older we'll all have more time to dedicate to getting our pre baby bodies back, but for now, anyone who thinks we don't look good can suck it up and go tell someone who cares :)

It's very normal and common. Your hips have become wider because they have to accomodate birth, you're carrying extra baby weight, you're tired and some days by bedtime you wonder if you remembered to brush your teeth when you woke up.

I think you need to have more faith in your husband's thoughts about you. You gave him something amazing and he probably does look at you with an entirely different set of eyes...but the way he's looking at you is so positive. Relish in your husband's compliments and just keep working at it. It is harder afterwards because there is just less time to exercise.

wow minus the baby age (7 months here!) that sounds exactly like my situation!!! i was thinking about trying the acai diet pills and seeing if they work but other than that i feel for you, your not alone! i know how hard it is but if he thinks your beautiful listen to him and let that bit of stress go because im telling you stress does not go with weight loss. good luck!
