I hope you are having a carefree pregnancy. I hope u don't have to have another c section. Mine was not the best but at least I got the jackpot. Unfortunately our precious little boy spent almost a month in NICU and even longer rooming with me. Since his discharge he has had a few hiccups but he is thankfully now thriving and has 8 teeth has been walking a wee while and talks too. He is a real little social butterfly.
It is his birthday in a couple of months. We are making plans at the moment. What did you do for your little one?

Sounds gorgeous. We love doing things like that and recycling everything. I love to redesign our old clothes if in good enough condition into new creations.
Tho is short for Thorjinn and he is named after one of his Viking ancestors. Today he has learnt to turn the door handle to the bathroom hallway Oh no! He has also learned to properly clap all by himself. He spent most of the day spontaneously clapping and was squealing and laughing and jumping around. I think he was proud and he should be. I sure was as was his daddy and he looked so adorable. For ten months he is really focused and determined. We got him a rocktivity a wee while ago and he loves it but today oh my gosh he was playing one drum with one hand the other with his other and he was stepping on and off the guitar pedal and pushing the keyboard with his knee. He seemed rather pleased with himself and it sounded great and it was so very entertaining. I think music is important for little ones as it really helps with coordination and concentration plus it is lots of fun and can even be relaxing. Thor loves all kinds of music and sometimes he likes to bounce or dance to it while other times it puts him to sleep.

I like to create paintings but my real passion lies in remaking furniture. Not just staining it, but doing something crazy and unique. I took a night stand with no drawers that cost $10(DH asked like a butt, "What are you going to do with a night stand with no drawers??") and made it into this awesome, uniquly painted "light box" with the inside painted this antique gold, mirrors glued to all sides(circle mirrors), and white Xmas lights hung from inside. It's awesome. In your face DH! lol

Thank you. He Is 10 months old. When i said he likes to ride his trike it is a little tikes 3 n 1 and begins with a harness and handle that we can push and the wheels are locked then as he gets older he can ride it by himself.
Sorry to hear about your custody battle. I'm sure it wil work out though as you sound like loving parents and a really happy family. Especially now you have a dog. We used to have a German shepherd called Max. He was awesome. My hubby and I used to have an Alaskan malamute. When she died we took a breather and then got a couple of chihuahua called Xion and Milly. They are gorgeous and Thor loves them and they love him.
What kind of art do you do?

Hey. I do like living in Alberta . The ppl are diffently not as friendly as they are where I am from but you always have a disadvantage when you move away. We are expecting a little girl in May actually. Another c-section which is a kinda bummer. My one year old son actually started walking when he just turned 11 months old and now he is just a runner lol.

How old is Thor? Also, what a cool name!

We travel to see our family up north every couple months or so(Grandparents are getting about that age...) I am also an artist and love to get the boys into it as well. I just cannot help but hang everything they create, whether it's on the fridge or the wall. Baseball and football is a favorite of the eldest of the two,and he is just so very smart. The younger favors music and is sooo sweet. We currently have no pets but plan on getting a black German Shepherd for both a loving family friend and a protector. Somersaulting of the furniture that is hilarious(and scary)! It's one of those things that has initial shock but still makes you laugh a little, I bet. At least that is what I just experienced picturing it. You sound like a great family and I think more should encourage the Arts as you both do.

My husband has a great career and I work full time as well. We have a custody hearing coming up where we are confident that (God willing) we will gain custody. Long story, not worth the typing. The boys are both just so great and they look JUST like their Dad lol It's so weird. To have "mini yous" running around.

I would be bundled up warm if my husband did not like to freeze out the house(and car, for that matter)! We have two totally different body temp requirements to be comfortable. He always says, "You can't put on a cold blanket" so I am always the one to sacrifice but hey, he does it in other areas so I can't complain. Plus, he's right! But don't tell him I said so lol

Sorry it's 2am now and so hot so I thought I'd reply. No we are not moving this year we are just going on a holiday/biz catch up friends etc. my hubby is running a two day workshop in Hawaii and we are taking Thor to Disney land after on the way to Canada. Last year he got offered a job as a consultant reorganizing struggling businesses. It was in may but due to a lot of things we decided that we are not ready to move our family all that way. If it was just us it would be different. However to make up for the disappointment my hubby decided that we would do the trip for Xmas time that way Thor would get to experience a white Xmas with all the lights etc. we have not been to Disneyland before and I said to my hubby isn't Thor gonna be too young and he said forget Thor I wanna go hahaha. Seriously though there is its a small world perfect for toddlers. Thank you for your kind words. Anyway it all fits in fine and on the way home we are going to sanfransico and Tahiti. I feel very lucky to be able to travel. Where are you traveling to?
Your twins sound cute and interesting. I am sure that the transition will be fine.
Thank you yes we think he is perfect. We are artists and musicians writers among other things and we have a music studio and art studio at home. Thor loves to play his drums sometimes using us as the drum everyday and his glokenspiel. His nanny my mum just flew home after staying for ten days and he was teaching her to play. He's so clever. He also loves doing art reading riding on his trike playing swimming riding with daddy on his quad and playing with his cats and dogs. He also loves feeding our pet eels and chickens. He also loves to sing and dance.
He's gorgeous and has bright blue eyes like daddy and full lips and golden tinged skin and long dark curled lashes like mummy and darker hair and then a gold tinge in his hair like daddy. He is very tall and strong has amazing balance and 8 pearly whites. He's a real charmer and freaks his mummy out cos he loves to climb and tries to somersault off furniture. I am lucky cos y hubby has a glass studio where he blows and moulds glass o if I needhim he's only a phone all away.
Do you have any friends or family close by? Do you have any pets?
Your hubby sounds lovely and a wonderful support and daddy. Mine certainly is. Anyway I best try to get some sleep. I hope you all keep wrapped up nice n warm. Take care.

No they are not identical. One is tiny and one is 2 age sizes larger than his actual age. We live in the USA. They are about to be five and starting school in August(fingers crossed for smooth transition!) It's winter, technically, where we live but never gets below 30. So not really winter haha Congrats on the miracle btw I bet he is just perfect(: So you are moving at the end of 2013? I bet you are super excited

Hi Toni I think you are mixing me with Daniella. I have a ten month old and have not said anything about my pregnancy cos way too early. Also my boy was a miracle as are all babies but he saved my life. Are your twins identical? Are the twins at school yet?
What part of the world are you in. We live in NZ and it is stifling hot here right now. We are headed for Canada at the end of the year but I wish we were there now hahaha.

If you are still looking for friends I would be up for a chat. I only just noticed your post cos my ten month old has recently started walking and we have had visitors since new years eve. What part of Canada do you live in. We lived in van couver for half of 2010 and are heading back at the end of this year for a holiday. OIt will be Thors first major trip and is rather daunting. We are breaking the trip via Hawaii and LA to make things less stressful and will stay a few days in each place. We live in NZ and right now it is very hot. I hope you had a great festive season.

I have been married to my husband for a year and a half and we have a one year old son together and expecting another baby in May. I am from Canada and when I moved to the city I live in became pretty much a hermit. No friends or family. Its diffently depressing. I am always up to chat :)

Sounds great!sorry I only just saw your post my little one is still a bit sick so I have had my hands full. It's 7:30 am here and I'm just taking the day as it comes. It's summer here in NZ so if he feels a bit better we are going to go out and get some fresh air maybe have a swing and feed the duck and take the dogs for a walk. My poor hardworking hubby was working in his studio until 2am this morning and was kept awake by our poor little blocked up poppit and soon he has to make the 2 hour trip to the city to get supplies. Never mind Thorjinn and I will make daddy a yummy dinner for when he gets home. Anyway have a great day whatever you get up to.

What a great attitude Larissa. I hope one day I am blessed with at least another little one. Friends of mine had 11 before the age of 39. Only one set of twins and the rest singles. The eldest helped deliver the last 4 and they never had a tv and when we would visit they all would put on a show for us. It was really gorgeous and sweet.

Wow 5 kids you must be really amazing where time management is concerned. I can understanding getting bored at home when no one is around. I actually have made some new friends being on this site and it has been a lovely experience. I imagine that you could give a lot of advice. What part of the world do you live in. It must ave been difficult moving to a new place. I hope you are settled in. We are getting settled now. My little one is a bit sick right now but getting there. What things do you enjoy? I can relate a lot to what your going through, i just moved to another town as well and i am a stay at home mom too! I have 5 kids so they keep me busy. 4 of them go to school and i just had a new baby. I get very bored though and irritated a lot cuz im always home. So im looking for some ppl to chat with too. Its good to have some adult conversations sometimes that's y i joined this site cuz everybody i know works so there always busy.

I know what you mean things always need doing. However don't let yourself get run down remember dishes can always be don later if need be. If you exercise at all you can give yourself a little time by mixing exercise with housework. Don't worry about stopping your wee girl from sucking on her hands and fit because she will grow out of it as she begins to take control of her limbs and move around more. This can begin to happen over the next couple of months. Babies have taste buds all over their mouths not just their tongues and for the first few months their lives are all about sucking on a breast or the teat of a bottle. This makes them very mouth orientated and they put everything in their mouths to find out about the world around them. At your babies age she does not realize that her feet and hands belong to her and she does not have the motor skills needed to control them yet. So this is normal and is why it is so important tat anything thacould hurt her is kept far away otherwise it will go straight into the mouth. Do you use a pacifier. I did not want to but as bubba was fed through a tube for the first moments of his life he was given one in the NICU so I kept it up. Anyway sometimes at your daughters age he would take his dummy out of his mouth but he would be kind trying to wrestle his pacifier from his intruder hands that keep taking it. He would have such a perplexed look on his face. He even got a fright from his own hands sometimes. Such a cutie! Now at 9 months e doesn't really suck his fingers or feet because is too busy feeling things with his hands. It is so sweet the way he uses his pointer finger to test whether different objects are ok to explore. I hope the tablets work but remember that even though it is hard you don't want to take all the pain and symptoms away well you do but it is best not to because babies need to get used to allowing their bodies to fight things otherwise as they get older they are more likely to struggle and find it hard to fight things. At around 6 months their immunity really kicks in so things will be easier for her. Also if she starts to get more tired and feverish during these times it shows that her immunity is working well. It is like when you get the flu. It is not the virus but your immunity that makes you feel tired and ethargic and feverish and frankly quite awful. It's because your body shuts as many areas of your body down as possible so it can concentrate on fighting the virus. It also gives you a fever to kill all the toxins that the virus creates, babies actually are primed to deal with higher temperatures than we are. Teething rings and special dental chews if cooled in the fridge can be really soothing. Also massaging gums. We also use distraction. Have a lovely day and I hope you manage to get a breather.

no i dont sleep during the day i stay up all day and i do things around the house when shes sleeping its the only time i can get the dishes done and laundry caught up. im gonna go get her some teething tablets that disolve in your mouth and it should help i hope. she loves her hands and her feet to suck on. im slowly trying to break her of that but i really dont know the proper way to do that its kinda tricky :S

Sorry I meant do you sleep when your baby sleeps during the day. I prefer to stay away from medicine because I feel like it is 50/50 chance whether the medication will help or hurt and as someone who is allergic to so much my self I won't take the chance. Also I know that fever kills all of the toxins that may come through as the teeth break the skin of the gum. If it helps then that's good. Usually I freeze pacifiers and Muslim cloths and give them to him to suck on and he finds it soothing. Plus he loves iced water and frozen pieces of fruit to suck on and things to chew. I give him rusks and baked toast. He also has an amber necklace and of course extra cuddles and reassurance.

i give her baby tylenol sometimes but not all the time and yeah she started to eat solid foods she likes bananas and apple sauce. she sleeps through the night she only wakes up around 4 almost 5 a.m. when my husband gets up for work then she eats and goes right to sleep then doesn't wake up until around 8 almost 9 a.m. and i go to sleep around most of the time 10 but latley its been around 12 a.m.

Hi, I see why you feel so lonely. Usually I would not chat on line because sometimes you get people who aren't who they say they are but when we unexpectedly had our son I thought maybe circle of moms would be helpful and worth the risk. How are you dealing with your baby teething? Are they eating solids yet? My son started teething around 4 months and has 6 teeth and he has more coming through now. Unfortunately we took the risk traveling 2 hours to chch city the other day and we all have the flu. My baby is sleeping now but it breaks my heart when I can't do much about his suffering. Do you sleep when your baby sleeps?
