I had 2 babies 15 months apart and I am having the hardest time losing the weight. My second is now a year old and I almost look pregnant still. I spend all my time chasing my kids and my nephew (whom I babysit) around, that at meal times, I just eat something quick without much regard to how healthy it is. Any suggestions? Any diets that have worked for you or exercise programs? Anything? I'm getting desperate. I have a family reunion next summer and I don't want to be the fat cousin :(

try to find an activity that includes your kids that is physical for yourself as well. like, if you take them to play at the park, play with them. i even found an exercise video that includes exercises you can do with your kids!! or maybe a relative or friend could babysit a few times a week, that way you can go to the gym, or just work out on your own at home!

oh, you break my heart, I still have weight from having my son, and he is 28 months. everybody is different...I refuse to believe those who say "some women never get back to their size" yes we will....try protein shakes instead of meals a couple times a day. make sure it's protein not just carbs, I add frozen fruit and water, you'll feel fuller and eat a healthy meal for dinner, also I snack on baby carrots throughout the day. I know it's difficult, also if you can add a little exercise (I know, you don't stop all day)..do you have a stroller that you can take all the kids out for a walk? that's what I have started doing...i run every morning with my son in his stroller and the dog attached to it. I am finally seeing results. don't get discouraged and don't give up. Hope this helps hon. :)

I have a 2yr old and an 8yr old. With my 1st child it took me almost 3yrs to lose back down to my original size.So I understand how frustrating it can be! Now with my 2yr old,I have lost many inches doing these things-1st find foods you enjoy that have low sugar but eat many small meals a day.(like if you eat a sandwich, only eat half then hr or so eat the other half)dont eat after 6pm or before you go to bed! Your body has to have time to digest it before you sleep.I do my work outs before I go to bed after my children are asleep, so 2nd find workout you will enjoy.I suggest Pilates(its tones and slims you down rather than makes you bulky) I also use a work out ball.(I have a bulged disc now so the ball helps with stomach crunches and push ups) 3rd try to find activities with your children like racing them, playing kick ball something that will raise your heart rate. And join in with them. Its fun for them and a work out for you.My son is in football so we race alot.Having a 1yr old you could try putting him in a stroller and jogging with him.My daughter used to love it.As they get older it will be easier to stay fit doing activities with them..The main thing to remember is stick with whatever workout you decide to do.I do my small workout every night and within a month I seen a big difference. With pilates you will feel muscles the next day you didnt realize you had lol but its a great way to tone everything..I hope this helps.also remember everyone is different so you have to find what is rt for you

Eating healthy can take alot of time and money. Here are a few things that work though. 1st. Pick your favorite fruits and veggies. you won't eat them other wise. Clean, cut, and store them for easy access. 2nd NEVER pick off the kids plates. It is actually very hard not to do LOL. We spend so much time running. Make sure nap time is lunch time. Sit and eat. Taking time to eat makes you feel like you've actually eaten instead of picking. 3rd hit up the grocery store for sales and butchers discounts for lean meat. Mix ground turkey with lean hamburger and eventually switch. It's actually pretty cheap. 4th eat at least 4 meals a day perferably 5 small meals. Your body will come to expect food and will burn it faster knowing more will come. 5th drink alot of water. To help carry a bottle with you or drink a glass before every meal.
Last but MOST IMPORTANT: PLAN YOUR MEALS!! Make a list before you go to the grocery store of what you will have for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner, and on which days. When you have it laid out it is harder to reach for something else and always prepare as much as you can in advance. Okay I was wrong this one is last. Get rid of all of your dangerous foods. Mine are cookies and brownies. They are not allowed in my house unless its someones birthday. Above everything though is take it slow. First start eating regualar meals, then add healthier food then make lists, and prepare. Another extra tip. Don't weigh yourself take measurements instead. It's more acurate. There are alot of exercises you can do with kids too. You can look them up online.

I have just recently started getting serious about losing weight myself about 3 months. My babies are also 15 months apart and my son is 19months old. So far I have lost almost 20 pounds and most importantly I am getting healthy. My husband and I have cut out all Trans fat including all things with paritally or fully hydrogenated oils, and hydrolyzed things and also MSG because except for MSG the other things add belly fat and cause us to eat more and more. I exercise 4-6 times a week for 30 minutes. I put my babies in the double stroller and I do an exercise regime. I run for 10 min, then I do two sets of 30 squats and then walk the rest of the 30 minutes. Then I let my babies out of the stroller and play for another 30 minutes which sometimes include chasing them around. I also have made sure that my meal portions are smaller and I try hard not to eat anything after 8 pm (I fail at this part alot, LOL). Keep only healthy snacks around the house, fruit and yogurts for when u want to snack. It seemed like it took me forever to start losing but now Im seeing some results. Sorry if this is too long. Good luck.
