My bathroom cupboards are mirrored. And I have blocked any and all little places he can stick his little toes in to climd up he still does it he climbs straight up a solid wood/glass wall in seconds I think he is like spderman with little hairs on his toes. My Mom says he uses his arms and just pulls him self up over something that is up to his armpits and hoists him self. less than 2 seconds and he is up over and at the top of the stairs.

we live in Alaska, get very bored in the house during winter. I let my kids climb the walls in the hallway. They just stretch their feet to either side of the wall (called a "stemming" move) and shimmy up to the ceiling. Is there any place inside the house that your son can climb safely? my daughter also hangs ropes from the top bunk bed and climbs up that too.

We live in a condo, no yard. He had a jumping toy (trampoline) but then I caught him flipping it over and climbing up on top of it. So I took that down. We go to the park 1-2x daily and he doesn't really climb on those toys there. I have come to the conclusion he just does it because he knows he's not supposed to. I will take your advise and try the gym thing and just put it where I had his trampoline. And just get rid of the second couch that is in the living room so he has room. We live in the desert so soon it will be to hot to do anything but swim or play inside. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

sounds like time for a little tikes gym of some sort..a tunnel,teeter totter...anything that involves climbing over and under and around..eventually he will get it but as he gets older watch out for trees and fences sorry....



He needs his own climging apperattuses (sp)
