My 9 month old has just been diagnosed with lactose and gluten allergy. I am having difficulty providing a variety of foods in her diet because of this. Mainly breakfast is the biggest struggle - apart from fruit theres not much else out there. Thanks for your help :)

I know you posted this several months ago, but we just found out that my daughter has both a lactose and gluten intolerance as well. What have you found helpful so far? Our doctor is not really helping us out at because she doesn't seem to think my daughter has a gluten intolerance, but I KNOW she does. As soon as we started her on the baby cereals she started getting severe diarrhea and a rash all of over her body.

NO, eggs do not have gluten, gluten is mainly in bread products. I know when I am shopping there is lots of things that says on the label gluten free. I know of people that make homemade gluten free bread.

I would go to a book store and try to find a recipie book for ppl with those issues. Or maybe a kitchen store would have some too. Ask her doc for suggestions, or ideas where you could find recipies. Health food stores may also have alternatives to things with gluten and lactose. Good luck. I don't know much about this stuff, but do eggs have gluten? You could do scrambled eggs.
