every day that he takes a nap is difficult...same with when he goes to bed at night...i know that he is tired but he will not go to sleep if any of his toys are in his room.. my husband and i have to remove everything and anything besides his bed and dressers and even those arent safe from him messing with...he'll pull out shoes and socks and clothes...seems like he'll do anything to not sleep these days....needing suggestions.

I know, my son was always a good sleeper and then one day, poof! well all i found that i could do at nap time was to just leave him in there for an hr or hr and a half and he may fall asleep at some point or he may not. at least its down/quiet time for him and u could get some time to yourself to get things done or watever. Its really just a power struggle at this point.

well my hallway is filled with toys he has soo many and i dont wanna get rid of any cus i see it as a waste of money regardless of who bought them...but we live in an apartment and he'll just be all over the room kicking the walls and breaking his blinds.yesterday he was in his room for hours not wanting to nap..granted its when i get things done but he used to be such a good sleeper

I have a 4yr old son and you are just describing a vivid memory from my life! At naptime he would lay and the bottom of the door and call my name, at bed time he would tear out all the clothes in his drawers. he even used to push his toddler bed all over the room! Honestly, We made a small toy area outside of his room and there couldnt be any in there. We put the safety locks that you use on cabinet doors on his dresser drawers so he couldnt pull out the clothes and we actually had to tie down the bed. Dont ask how we did that my husband did it and i couldnt do it again myself if my life depended on it! His room was bare and when people saw it they were like oookkkkk. In the long run I never ever let him out of his room at bedtime and at naptime he stayed in his room for at least quiet time and sometimes he slept and sometimes he didnt.
