My daughter just turned 2 this past May, and she is doing the same thing right now. It's been going on for about 5-6 months on and off. As long as nothing drastic is happening (ex: severe weight gain/loss,) I wouldn't worry to much. We have been to quite a few docs about this because I like u, became very worried. But it's completely normal. Phases of eating and not eating will happen. Try offering some diff. foods, or maybe a couple small "meals" throughout the day. Lately all mine has wanted to do is snack, so I just try to make it as healthy as possible. Good luck and no need to worry, it's normal!! :) Maybe try some pediasure and/or giving her a multivitamin. That way u know she's getting her nutrients. My daughter likes the flintstone gummies. Hope this helps....Jaime

She is getting close to 3 years old, and at that age they tend to slow down their eating, not having much for growth spurts. Don't worry it will pick back up. My duaghter is now 3 1/2 and is eating like crazy again. If you are really concerned and she loses a lot of weight, call your doctor right away, better safe than sorry.

Well as for me and my kids i have had this problem with them. And the reason was because they had too much of a certain kind of food and its not digesting right and it build up in their stomachs and that have to come out through stooling but it cant and you have to get the doctors to check their stomach and see if its build up stools in there. But if thats not it just sit down with your child and make them eat or get a substitute like pediasure.I hope it works out

Hi Dawn, it's just a phase and she will get over it. Although when exactly is difficult to say.. Some kids don't eat very much until they get to 5 or 6. It might help to give her less to drink or "bribe" her, say if she eats something small eg. a few grapes or joghurt then she can have a juice. Me son will be 2 in January and he is moving into that phase of not eating, I have found that if I keep his day very busy - playing outside games, doing painting, sand play etc. He becomes very hungry and then eats. And I also do the "bribeing" thing with his juice. I hope this helps a bit..
