my 4 month old baby boy has had this nasty cough and running nosie for like 2 weeks. he cough alot during the night and crys alot.. he sleeps better with me what can i do

My son will be 8 wks tuesday and he has a horrible cough also and his nose is runny...its so hard to follow advice on here cause you don't know what you can really do and what you can't. But if it gets worse go to the ER if you can't get into ur dr I hope ur child gets better

My son got his first cold on thursday and we gave him salinex for his nose and used the aspirator to clear it and then gave him baby tylenol he seems to be back to his normal self today, a dehumidifier also works, I know people give their baby's vick vapo rub but i heard something awhile back thats its not good for babies

Treat the symptoms with Vapor Rub, Tylenol, etc. Then go see your Doc! My son had RSV at 6 months and you need to really watch that. If it's a hacking cough, see a doc asap!!

See the doc, if you havent already. Cough could be so many things. Dont follow any advice on the computer until you have a diagnosis. Believe me, I am a RN....you cant treat soemthing that you dont know what it is.....if the doc gives you a diagnosis, then post a comment, and maybe other mom's can chime in....This is a very little baby 4 months....he sounds like he needs to be seen, bottom line, get in with the doc...

im pretty sure they wont givwe a four month old couch syrup i think they have to be 6 months but you can do a vapor bath or use the vicks baby rub but you cant do both an for the baby rub you just use a little bit an not under there nose, an you could try a cool mist vaporizer, an get some saline drops and a snot sucker, an then some tissue an some tylonel or motrin but if it doesnt go away after a few days i would call your babys doctor
