My 6 months old baby just fell from the bed, Am I over-reacting?

My 6 months old baby just fell (35 minutes ago) from a 3 feet high bed after I had just put him down to have him change into his swimming trunks. This is the 2nd one but he was not like this when he first fell. He's already spit up his food right after he fell and has a bump on top of his head, redness on both knees, easily consolable but hard to keep awake without him crying. Should I go have him checked in the e.r? Temperature is normal, breathing as well as heart rate is also within the normal range. Am I over re-acting if I decide to take him to the e.r within the next 30 minutes (an hour from when he fell)??

My son fell off the bed at around 7 months. I creamed out and called my sister and she said that I needed to settle down because I was over reacting. she came over to make me feel better.

that happens to a lot of mothers. more than u would think

Well, I had to succumb to what my hubby had told me about over-reacting. He's ok now, after I had kept him (pain-stakingly) awake for an hour to see if he has any other changes, kept him seated up the whole entire time, gave him lil sips of water when he wanted milk. No spike ups nor down grades for his temp. Everything stayed the same as far as vital signs went. The redness went away but, the bump on top of his head is still there with no decrease or increase in size. Thanks for asking Ms. Seiler :) I didn't end up bringing him to the e.r, but thanks for the show of concern Ms. Collins :)

NO! Take him to the ER. Better to be safe than sorry. If it's nothing great, but if he did hurt himself you'd feel better knowing you took him.
