For 3-4 weeks she was sleeping thru the nite, then about 2 weeks ago she started waking up once a nite, now she is waking up 2-3 times at nite. It is getting more difficult to get her back to sleep. I need help on getting her back to sleeping thru the nite.

Totally normal. At this age there are so many things that could be disrupting her sleep and she is growing and changing so fast that her sleep needs are changing rapidly as well. Read the "No-Cry Sleep Solution" by Elizabeth Pantley. And especially if you're breastfeeding, consider co-sleeping to help you both get more sleep at night. Also, if you're nursing, try to encourage cluster feeding in the evening. Offer the breast every half hour or so for the 2-3 hours before bedtime to help her get the calories she needs during the day... but remember 8 weeks is still super early to be sleeping through the night on a consistent basis.

It's absolultley normal, babies don't "normally" sleep thru the night, consitently until at least 6-9 months. There really is nothing you can do except be cosistent with her bedtime routine (ie: bath, pjs, bottle (or breast)), use lavender as it is very soothing. Depending on where you live a cool mist humidifier can help. Ultimately, you can do evrything right and she still might wake up (but she's still such a young baby) My twin boys are 7 months and they wake up at 4-430 for a bottle still some night's.

Hang in there =) =)

I also agree that it is normal. She is probably getting ready for a growth spurt. Hang in there! It does get better.
