Could be a yeast rash, the very first rash my daughter got was a yeast rash, she was a chubby baby and had rolls and got the rash due to the moisture staying between her rolls. Take her to the doctor, if it is yeast, they will prescribe something, we always got Nystatin cream and it works wonders, you apply it 4 times a day, and I always put bag balm or destin over top of it to help it stay on better. If it isn't yeast, Aveeno diaper rash always helped my daughter if she got a rash from teething, and Burts Bee's diaper rash cream worked wonders too, expensive but great :)

try to rule out any allergies first eg washing powder or food allergies if the rash is on the bum you could try a cream called metanium but wash hands straight away or on the body maybe sudocrem

It depends on where it is. If it's in the mouth get the doctor to do an ultra violet treatment and fallow up with nystatin. If it's in the diaper area, butt paste or lotrimine work really well, unless it's a yeast infection, then the dr should give you nystatin anyways.

what does the rash look like because some people mistake a yeastv infection for a diaper rash and if you put diaper rash cream on ayeast infection it will not go away and it will also get worse. My daughter's ped told me to buy sone monistat cream or lotrimin and put that on her rash.

Tamara my daughter has VERY sensitive skin so its hard to find cream and such that does not irritate her so I can use corn starch it has no perfume in it but it has the same effect as baby powder if not better! It keeps her butt dry for the most part and puts a protectant on her butt! It also works very well for under the neck she was a fat little thing when she was smaller! Glad I could help!

Constance my youngest was allergic to all of them so we had to go with cloth after that no more rashes.

Lena you could try Butt paste, it is amazing stuff gets rid of most rashes anywhere especially under the diaper area, the creases of knees (if they are chubby) and under the chin area. As mentioned before it could be a yeast infection.

Janeta I never heard of using cornstarch good idea :)

If it is the diaper area then it could be yeast or maybe is allergic to the brand of diapers.

My oldest was allergic to Pampers
My second was allergic to LUVS

It could be a yeast infection (especially if its in the diaper area) if diaper rash ointment such as desatin ect isnt working then try cornstartch and then if none of that is improving the rash then I would call the baby's doctor.

use diaper rash cream; works for most things; then call doctor if it doesnt work
