I am a hispanic women and my partner is half white and half black, we have 2 daughters our oldest is light skinned with straight dirty blonde hair and our youngest is tanned with dark hair and curly afro hair. Everywhere we go people always ask if they are from the same father and at one point my mother in law asked the question and even asked for a DNA test from the both of them. I just don't get it do people not understand how genetics works, their father is light skinned with green eyes but he is still black and i have curly hair and tanned skin so why don't people get that mixed kids come in all forms?

Cause their ignorant! I'm in a similar situation, my oldest looking like his father and youngest looking like me. My husband and I look very different he is of Indian and Greek origins,I am of German and American Indian origins. The youngest the blond one who looks like me is constantly spurned by his family, they even go so far as to ask my husband if he got a DNA test... Its very insulting and rude not to mention potentially devastating for the child. I would suggest to talk to these people and point out how their actions can cause issues with the children and for them to kindly keep their misguided opinions to themselves!!! Hope this helps :-)
