When we are unable to go out on a date night without the kids we are having trouble figureing out some things to do together that are fun and different and maybe even romantic at times. Our tub is too small to have a bath together unfortunatly I am bored of cards and bored games and my husband is sick of watching TV so we basically end up watching a movie and than going to sleep which really seems to not be quality time. Any suggestions??? We have tried turning on music and dancing and that was nice but something different would be nice.

Assuming you don't live in an apt. maybe after you kiddos go to bed set up a romantic picnic dinner in the backyard on a blanket with candles, wine, etc. You could surprise him one night & maybe you will feel some what like you've been on a date :)

Cooking together (baking after the kiddos are in bed) can be fun and romantic. I like the picnic in the backyard but if you don't have one, just move it inside. Put a nice blanket on the floor and set up a little picnic with some wine (or whatever) and candles, add some music in the background and you are good. Shower instead of bath? You can get a shower seat for it (most fit standard sized bath/shower combos). Try adding different things to the games like shots if you guys drink. Or if you want it to get sexual there are lots of simple games that add sexual touches/favors to things. Strip poker?

I definitely understand this subject, we have the same issue over here.

Baking cookies. Playing uno/cards and having shots of something disgusting when you lose. Massages.

it is winter here and we have found that if we light the fire in the lounge room where the tv is, thats where we sit in the evenings, but if we light the fire in the dining room that is where we sit, no tv just a glass of wine or cuppa and sit together chatting about any old thing as if we were out, so just like the backyard picnic idea, just a change of location at home can make a difference.
