I actually have the same issue with my 2 month old daughter. We have been thru Enfamil reg, soy & similac alimentum and now we are on Infant neocate which is an expensive formula that isnt milk based at all. My girl is very gassy & poops alot its black now ! & she has cryin outburts during the day. she is only 10.10 lbs & weighed 8.9 at birth. So shes not that big as they would like her to be. we have no idea whats going on so she has to see a specialist for her stomach. They think she may be allergic but the prob is that her new formula has no dairy at all thats why its $53 for a normal sized can but now she seems to be throwing it up. I wish you luck and if they find out what her problem is ill post back on here so you know. best of luck

my son is 8 weeks now and I breastfeed/formula feed. We started him on goodstart gentle ease but my grandmother noticed that he griped alot in his sleep ( this was in his earlier weeks) so we got the baby bliss gripe water which helped and we eventually switched him to similac isomil soy. He is sleeping much better and not griping at all. so i do reccomend similac soy.

Maybe try Nutramigen; its Enfamil Brand. I hear it works wonders. I almost used it before I used the Parents Choice- Sensitivity that worked for my son. I hope this helps. Its supposed to help with babies who are allergic.to milk. The can isnt very big and its orange and white. God Bless!

I tried everything with my daughter as well including Alimentum... but I was doing similac formulas. Have you tried any similac? Maybe it is something to do with the brand cause my daughter couldnt drink enfamil, she didnt like the taste and it made her have a lot of the same problems. I ended up stickng to similac soy and treating the constipation until her body got used to it.

I would also recomend the Sim Iso Advance Soy my daughter had the same thing at about the same age and it turned out that she couldnt digest milk AND had reflux. they did an upper GI on her and prescribed her acid reflux medication it smells NASTY but it works :) and another hint, try propping the head of her crib up by putting a telephone book under the legs that way she's not laying flat. good luck and let us knw how it turns out for you.

I ACTUALLY LEFT YOU A REPLY ON THE BOARD A DAY OR TWO AGO.......I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY DAUGHTER....WE WENT THROUGH THINKING IT WAS MILK ALLERGIES..TO SOY....SHE WAS RIGHT AT HER PERFECT WEIGHT FOR AGE...AND THE DOCTOR SAID AFTER SHE WAS TESTED FOR ALLERGIES TO SOY, MILK.....THAT IF IT IN FACT IT WAS AN ALLERGY SHE WOULD SHOW MORE SIGNS LIKE RASH, MAYBYE SOME BUMPS EVEN A THROWING UP (NONE OF WHICH SHE HAD).....SO WE FINALLY STARTED HER ON THE "SIMILAC ISOMIL ADVANCE SOY FORMULA"....AND SHE STARTED TO SLOWLY DO BETTER.....AFTER ALL THE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, AND WORRYING OVER WHAT WAS TRULY WRONG....I BELIEVE IT WAS REFLUX!.... BEFORE THE FORMULA CHANGE AND GRIPE WATER, SHE WOULD OUT OF NO WHERE START SCREAMING!!!

my 7 month old has been on Goodstart since 3 weeks old and the green poop is healthy for her - it's the iron. have you asked the pediatrician? the Goodstart green can is the easiest on their bellies. i tried Enfamil and that was harder on her stomach and made her diapers yellow. if you're worried about her digesting, soy is harder on their stomachs.

Have you tried SIMILAC ISOMIL ADVANCE SOY FORMULA?

It's easy to Digest, Milk Free, with Iron...my daughter had the same problem (we thought it was allergy to Soy also)....and we tried it all....

Finally we found this and it worked GREAT!

You can buy it already made or by can concentrate...we also gave her

Baby Bliss Gripe water...for soothing of stomach discomfort..it it used for Colic, Gerd, Gas, Reflux and even Teething!!!

It's an all natural herbal liquid that comes with a dropper...just a few drops every few hours with feedings and our daughter really started feeling much better...

The Gripe Water I can't say enough about it's Sanity in a bottle for a mom and baby! Google it for more information...it's GREAT...never underestimate colic either...my little one had it and slept fine at night too...come visit me on my page at Mommy's Secrets it's new but we will have lots of good information for mommy's!

ask your dr. maybe she needs to go on reflux medication.

goats milk is a good start for kids with dairy intolerance, but still shouldnt be until 12mo. my son had this as well as soy yogurt.

i would stick to the one sort (here is Australia, there isnt that many choices lol), and ask the doctor about some reflux medicine. my son also had mylanta (antacid) which helped.

hi i have a now 2yo who had bad tummy upsets and wind from formula and breast milk. i tried soy and goat milk formula b4 the docs put her on the prescription formula NEOCATE. she was on this from 6months after a lot of trialing of other formulas and was settled str8 away. now shes older i have her on rice milk. still to date i havent had her allergy tested for a milk allergy. i havent tried her on cheese yogurt or other milks and i wont until shes old enough to tell me if its hurting her throat tummy etc. hope this helps.

by the way prescriptions here in aust r goverment subs. so work out alot cheaper than buying off the shelf formula.

I have used the Alimentum with my second child. He did so much spitting up that it concerned me so kept trying different formulas. My first child, my daughter did a lot of spitting up and I tried it with herr, but I was pregnantand could not deal with the smell. My son though did well. He spit up less than on the other formulas but still spit up quite a bit. His poops were normal on the formulas though. when he turned a year he still could not tolerate milk. At least not straight milk or cheese or yogart. He can have it in mixed foods like boxed mac and cheese. I am slowly introducing milk and he is doing okay. He will still throw up if he has too much. It is a lot more expensive though. What did the doctor say about the poop. i think the poop just changes though through time. As long as she is gaining weight, try not to drive yourself crazy.

i think the weird colored poop is normal....my daughters was all sort of strange colors when she was 3 months.i deff remember the army seedy green and the yellow. i even brought a diaper to the doctor and showed her but she said it was all normal. she said a babys poop can be all sorts of weird colors. as long as it doesnt smell really really bad. thats for when u start them on real food. hope that helps
