for the past year and half ive been potty training my son he understands going to toilet for a wee but im getting nowhere with the pooing ive tryed everything i can think off rewards charts explaining to him showing him wat to do i even got advise of my health visitor he starts full tym school in september and dont want him embarrased at school can anyone else help me plz

My son will be 4 in Nov & we are struggling with the same thing. We've tried books, videos, rewards, charts, everything. He either isn't interested in them or gets too distracted by them that he doesn't go. We are homeschooling so I don't have the added pressure of school starting. For us, it seems to be a control issue. I wish I had an answer for you but your not alone in your frustrations.

I have a four year old boy as well he did as yours is.take a kids book with you and him everytime he goes to the potty don't leave bathrrom till the book is read all the way.This teaches him patience to sit on pot and his mind is more on the story then the potty also have him find certain things on each page.Helped my son i brought toy story one of his favorite movies and read and asked him were this is on a page.finally end of may he pooed in potty and my whole family husband and siblings along with grandpa(he lives next door)made a big deal out of it and then when he was done i let him pick stickers so to put on his dresser.I hope this helps you good luck.
