my son is five months old and still only sleeps for about three hours at a time at nite and this is rarely in his crib. im looking for tips on how to get him to sleep in his crib, or even how to get him to just sleep through the night in general. any advice is much appreciated!!!! up until now ive been able to tolerate it, but this week it's really getting to me. thanks!!!!!

Okay go to your local bookstore and buy the book BabyWise!!! This book will get your son sleeping through the night and you will get much needed sleep!!! The thing about the book you have to follow it,but believe me when I say the book is wonderful!!! My daughter has been sleeping since she was a month old.Hope you the best:)

Been there! Make sure he's not over-tired at bed time. Daytime naps are very important, but don't let him sleep too long or too late in the day. Help him wind down at the end of the day. After dinner and a bath, lower the lights and noise level, read to him while cuddling or whatever works for you both. If he's relaxed when he goes to bed, he'll sleep better for longer. I've heard from some ladies on here that their baby didn't sleep through the night until they were in their own room.
