My son is 4 months old and he moves a lot and every night he wakes up crying cuz he keep bumping his head on the crib and rolls sometime to the point where he hits his head and its make me very tired to the point where i cant stay awake during the day and i lay on the floor with him with a blanket and sleep, and when you look at his head there will be red marks n bumps. My hubby and I just brought a house so we are in the mist of moving and since am a Stay At Home Mom-sahm, i do the packing and etc and i get too tired to do anything and coffee is starting to not work, plus my son is teething but i know its not his teeth cuz i put baby orajel and give him med for his mild fever. THE QUESTION IS: SHOULD I PUT HIS BUMPER BACK IN THE CRIB SO HE CAN STOP BUMPING HIS HEAD.

Why is it parents are scared of bumper pads. We all grew up fine our parents grew up fine and we all had bumper pads. I used bumper pads in my sons crib and some days I would wake up to find him with his head shoved in the corner and he was fine. They make them for a reason. Sudden Infant death syndrome can happen with or without bumper pads. To me hitting his head can be just as dangerous. You hit the soft spot it could have serious side effects too. Just a thought.

I used the breathable bumpers for my boys. They are mesh looking material and they have small holes throughout, hence why they are called breathable.

yes!..lol. My son did the same thing and now he is bumb free now that he has bumbers. Make sure the bumber you get fits tight and tie them tight as you can.

i would, my son has been in his crib since about 6 months (was in the bassinet before) and he used to slide all the way up and bump his, and i put a bumper in and it helped alot. as long as you tie all the strings and tuck some of it in between the mattress and crib bars he should be ok.

Personally, due to the safety hazards, I wouldn't use them. http://babyproducts.about.com/od/recalls... Instead, you might try rolling up receiving blankets and tucking them around him. It will keep him from rolling so much.
