well I am alot older then most of you that have already comment, I am 37. with three babies, Zatarea will be 2 in Dec,Samuel will be three in Jan and Dezariah just turned 4.I am a disabled mom and stay home all the time.Most of my socializing is done on here.I do have a great husband who helps with everything.But it would be nice to have more people to chat with,feel free to add me!

Have you checked around the town where you live? When we moved to our current city 3 1/2 yrs ago, I didn't know a soul. I was so scared! One day I was looking around on Craigslist and I found out about a meetup group and I have met so many wonderful sahm's! The website is www.meetup.com...go check it out and input your city and see what pops up. I realize this sounds like an ad, but I assure you it's not. The group I joined has holiday parties, regular play groups, mom's game nights, mom's movie nights and it has been so much fun. :)

It's such a relief to see other moms in the same boat. Although being a stay at home mommy is the best thing in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything, it does seem like once you make that transition all your friends disappear. Your priorities change so much! It almost seems as if the younger you are, the harder it is too. I'm 22 and all my friends care about doing is going out every night.

I, like many of you am a stay at home mom of 3. My husband works 10-12 hours a day and what few friends I have as well. While my oldest is at school, I spend my day conversing with a 4yr old and a 2yr old. And while my 4yr old talks all day, non stop (lol) I really miss having adult conversations. I'll be 21 in Feb 2011 and none of my close in age friends have babies or kids. My lo is 22 months and it is hard when everyone else is out partying etc when I can't due to no babysitter. Then that is part of being a mummy x

Hey Brittany as a SAHM it is hard to have friends or at least friends who aren't in your situation. I am 23 I am a SAHM and I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old (no I'm not crazy I just couldn't help but want another for my first to play with and me to cuddle with since my 2 year old is so independent) I have a few close friends but most of my friends do not have kids because they are young and unmarried or newly weds. They don't really understand that I can't really go out with them to a bar or wherever else unless it is a kid friendly place. The truth is most people don't really want to be around kids much if they don't have kids themselves. Anyway I understand how you feel and I am around if you want to talk.

Although I am older than you being 27 our children are only a couple months apart! My son Roland is only 16 months so I am sure we have shared similar experiences. i would love mom friends too! i have 2 true friends i talk to alot online that i know here in my city. they have kids but are busy working or school so i dont see them like ever. i am 24 my kids are 2 and almost 3 yrs old. they r 10 months apart.

Well, you're in luck, Brittney, because that's just what this site is for! =) I've been fortunate enough to make a few friends on here in what little time I've been using this site, and the best part is it is other Mom's who understand where I am coming from with my insecurities or problems.
