these are great tips thanks, i guess i should have been more specific..sorry i think what im more looking for are things that dont really have a place for example my bathroom has one cabinet and no drawers (and a towel closet)so have alot of odds and ends and dont know how to organize them without tons of containers which i cant really do right now
I am pretty organized :) Not sure what you are organizing, but first I would decide "what" you want to organize and maybe put it in the room where you feel it should be. For example....ALL my son's 'things" are in their room. We have a small basket of toys in the livingroom, but everything else must be put away in their toy box in their room. Their clothes are organized in their dresser drawers(socks/jammies, shirts, pants) bottom drawer is extra blankets. As far as things like the kitchen, I just separated everything (glasses, plates, storage containers) and just tried to put them away in an "obvious" order in the cabinets. For example...the things I use everyday are in the high cabinets and are easy to get to, the other things are in the bottom cabinets. Once I found a place for everything, I try VERY hard to put it back where I got it from! (that's the hard part!) It might sound silly but I love my label maker :) If you do have anything in boxes, label them!! (masking tape works too) Then you will know whats in there and hopefully can find things easier! The clothes my kids out grow are all in boxes labled with the size/season. Hope this helps!
