i hate huggies they tended to leak more, and during the night i found pampers explode. i use kirkland diapers and the are working wonderfully, they don't blow up , they fit better so no leaks.

I used Huggies for the first few months and then started trying out different brands. I like both Huggies and Pampers. I tried Luvs, wanting to save some money, but had leak issues. I have started putting a larger diaper on him at night (He's in a size 3, but I put a 4 on him) because he will pee through anything at night!

I loved Pampers for my daughter. We received a little bit of all different brands for our baby shower, and used them all. The Huggies adhesive strip actually scratched her legs. But I have several friends that strongly prefer Huggies. I really think it depends on your child's size and shape. Pampers fit her the best and I never tried anything else again after the Pampers.

Yes, the brand does matter. In my experience Huggies leak through. Pampers are the way to go. I also like the CVS Supreme brand they are pretty absorbent.

Yes! I have spent the little bit extra and have only bought Huggies. I have never had a problem with nappy rash etc. I cannot say I have tried any others for lengthy periods though.

well for me I love LUVS I believe they are right between pampers & huggies, pampers seem to sag more with less wetness and huggies have more leaking problems but to get down to it

Boys do better with pampers infants, Luvs as infants and toddlers, huggies pullups for potty trainning

Girls do better with Huggies infant and toddlers, Luvs infant and toddlers, huggies for potty trainning

I believe huggies are the best for potty trainning 100%

It just depends on your prefence but Luvs has always been a good in between just dry enough and last long enough I hated wasting diapers because of what they looked liked, I hated when my son would pee out the top of huggies so it depends.... I can honestly say I have changed at least 32,850 diapers and still going so I may know a thing are two....( it may sound unbelievable but I have 5 children : l )

I have found that Pampers are the best for my 6 mo. old daughter. I received several different brands at my shower, (Huggies, Luvs, Target brand, Kroger brand), and none have worked as well as Pampers. I really liked the swaddlers for size 1 and 2. Now, she wears the baby-dry style at night and cruisers in the day. They seem much more softer and more comfortable for her also. The other brands leaked alot, were very stiff feeling, and some gave her a rash. I have had no issues with the pampers at all. I also use the Pampers wipes for sensitive skin and like them, but I also like the Huggies wipes with Shea butter.

My child dose not react to anything in the diapers (some have reactions to some brands. I could only use Huggies as a child all others gave me a rash everywhere the diaper touched), But because my daughter dose not react i buy Luvs 'cuz they are cheep.Ive never had a problem with them leaking or anything like that either.

hi I used pampers in the UK and I loved the active fit ones he was very active so there were great and a good price but nappies are less expensive over there in a whole.. when we first came out my mum had stocked us with huggies so we started using those I found the size smaller than other brands but they were very good too ( I still preferred pampers but you can not get them here) Im not a big fan of charactures on nappies as my kids have no idea who winnie and if they did love winnie the pooh I would think maybe it would be harder to get them out of there fav character nappies.. but sicne we have been buying our own I buy snugglers they are great and cheap! I use them for both my boys the sizes are generous and well fitting ( still prefer my pampers though)

My opinion is that you have to try it to find out what works best for your child! All the "name brands" pay to advertise, so of course they'll get more publicity & sponsors! But, thta doesn't make them any better than another! From my own experiences, (I have 4 kids), with my first, I used Luv's. They were great! They worked good and were inexpensive. My 2nd, I used name brands, and Luv's. My 3rd, I used Pampers, after trying about 5 different kinds, they were the only brand I could use for her! Now, my youngest and first boy, is a whole different ballgame! I was sent home with pampers, then he started getting a wicked diaper rash! He was allergic to all but one diaper rash cream. Then I tried the Huggies Supreme fit diapers & they were a Miracle! His diaper rash went away! I never use wipes with fragrance, because of our hypersensitive skin! Also, we can only use certain lotions.Sure enough when I tries to switch to the regular Huggies, or another brand, he got red again! Even as a toddler. There must be some kind of chemical in them that he has a reaction to! So, it figured, he required the most expensive diaper out ,in the market!:) I've had him potty trained now for awhile, but still use diapers at night & going on trips. I tried the new Target, store brand diapers & they work great! They have blue & ghreen circles on them, and a comparison to Huggies emblem on them. They're awesome & 2x's less than Huggies! Good Luck! :)

Huggies are good - they hold a lot, so for overnight, there is no leaking...

Huggies are quite bulky compared to the pampers. My sister in law uses the pampers & she swears by them so really its up to the baby & mother.

I have found that parents choice and members mark seem to work the best. They are cheaper, tend to hold in MOST moisture. Parents choice, you have to learn to unfasten it first. I however recommend a night time diaper for night time. Every diaper I have used from Pampers to parents choice has leaked numerous times regardless of brand...I found luvs to leak the gel material and puff up way too often. I would go cheaper as long as your son doesnt have any reactions to them. If they were leaking all of the time, there is a chance they needed to be changed more often. My daughter tends to leak after longer periods.

Bumgenius Cloth Diapers is the best!!! Our little one couldn't use plastic ones bc it caused crazy rashes! So not only are they better for the skin and the environment, they save u a$$ loads of money!!! I am due with our second in Feb and we now don't have to worry about diapers at all. : )

I have used generic brands with both kiddos. We tend to use Targets generic the most they work great most of the time. We did have to use Huggies overnigts with my son because he would leak at night.

Quoting Berenice:

I used Huggies with my first two along with cloth diapers. We tried many brands and kept going back to huggies. With my son we tried cloth but due to a medical condition we spent a lot of time at the hospital the first month of life and disposables were easier. I use seventh generation diapers and I love them. They are chlorine free and don't have that nasty gel. Super absorbent and they stay in place.

I totally agree about the Seventh Generation diapers! Another brand we loved!

You really just have to figure it out for yourself. I started with Pampers (swaddlers) and loved them for newborn. But my daughter is size one now and we LOVE huggies! They are expensive, but they fit her perfectly and we havent had ANY problems with them. The size one Pampers were just too big for her and the leg area was just not as snug and fit as the Huggies. Any diaper will get the job done, its just a matter of what fits your baby best! :)

[deleted account]

I love Pampers. I have used Huggies and Luvs and they both leaked. I will not use anything else put Pampers.

[deleted account]

I love pampers!! I have used Huggies a few times and my little boy peed right out of them. The same with Luvs (even though he did do a little better in them). I will only use pampers!!

I use Target brand diapers, their called up and up and they work great and there really cheap to buy. I have used Huggies, Pampers, Luvs, and many other brands, Target brand are just as good as Huggies or Pampers, no leaks good quality the only difference is the price. A box of 96 diapers cost only $13.00 Also Target is really great about giving coupons at the register so recently I just saved @$2.00 on a box of diapers. Anyway check it out if you have a Target in your area, you won't be disappointed!

I have twins and i believe that Huggies are by far the best diapers out there. I have tried the LUV and it seems they don't block the moisture as well. Also the walmart brand. Then there were the ones people gave at my baby shower too. Huggies are really the best.

I buy pampers. In my experience huggies leak when they get a little more active. Plus you can enter points found on the package at pampers.com and redeem them for fun stuff. I didn't pay for any of my son's christmas presents this year.

I use Walmart brand (I think it is Parent's Choice) and they work great without the extra expense. My son wet through at night a lot so we bought Pampers to use at night only and used cheapies during the day. Not the special night diaper they make, just the baby dry ones. They seemed to hold out longer for the extended time better. He is doing better with that now so I hope to just stick to one kind and save some money. However, anytime I find a deal on Huggies or Pampers I snatch them up if the price is reasonable and comparative to the cheap ones.

[deleted account]

To me diapers are diapers. Of course some kids can't wear some brands. My oldest couldnt wear generic diapers or luvs for the longest time. He HAD to wear pampers or huggies thankfully he outgrew the allergy and we could buy the less expensive stuff. My youngest however couldnt wear the expensive kinds. We bought them assuming shed have the same allergy, but nope. She responded the best to the organic diapers but eventually we settled on the generic ones.

I had to use pampers with my son he was allergic to every other barnd it would breack him out. Pampers and huggies are the best some people dont like pampers they say they sag. Just stay away from store brands no offence to store brands but i found they leacked. I would go with either pampers or huggies :).

I have always went with Pampers but then i discovered Parents Choice Just does as well but they are cheaper , and sometimes they did better than pampers. They were like $24 or something like that for a box., which depending on the age of the baby it usually lasted about 2 and half wks. for me because you get alot for the money.

I like pampers the most because of the "net" inside, Luvs work great and they're cheaper but I don't like to use them until the babies are a little older & stop getting runny poop (mine are breast fed). I also like Huggies Over Nites because they're super absorbent.

Well in my oppion I think the cheap brands suck they dont absorb as much, Pampers made my daughter break out and they didnt aborb alot so as soon as she came home we got rid of them. The only kind she can use is the winnie the pooh huggies and it has to be winnie the pooh not mickey mouse. they have the gel inside and absorb great shes never leaked through them at night. The mickey mouse ones had a different material in them or something cuz they sucked to when it came to absorbtion. They may cost more but its worth it. They last longer and if ur goin to spend the money might as well get ur moneys worth. I agree with Lisa luvs is the worst.

Huggies are the best and I just love how they fit my baby's bottom. They are thicker than any other diaper. Luv's are really thin and cheap looking, Pampers are o.k. kinda on the thin side too. Huggies hold the baggage...

i think that the new babylove nanppies are great and they are also a great price to, but the best ones that i use for my children is SORBIES they are at coles supermarkets in the pack they have a certain amount of nite nappies and aslo a certain amount of day nappies, as my 4yr old only wears a nappy during the nite they last a lot longer and i find that they are great all nite. i love these nappies. with my 8mth old i was changing him every feed but now with the sorbies i change him every 3rd - 4th feed. they are also a grea great price to, they range from $10.00 - $15.00. thats great value and price for our family as my husband is the only worker in our family as i am a stay at home mum

I think I have used every diaper, just to try each out and just by getting them as gifts. I have to say the BEST diapers I have used are the Walgreen's brand. They are usually $8.99 a bag and the hold A LOT. My son would always pee out of the other diapers and would always leak at night. Not these. The are one of the cheapest brands out there, but I swear by them. I will definitely use them for the next baby
