ParaGard IUD Birth Control

Howdy All! I have a 6week old baby girl that I am breastfeeding, I was looking into birthcontrols and was leaning more toward an "IUD" there are two different kinds/types, "ParaGard" or the "Mirena". I am leaning more for the ParaGard It is good up to 10 years (you can take it out at anytime) BUT it has NO hormons..that way it doesnt effect the breast milk.

I was just wondering if any of you out there have experience with the IUDs? Do you preffer it, yes no?

I have the Mirena IUD and it doesn't effect breast milk either, it only lasts up to 5 years though. The ParaGard won't change youe cycle or anything like that, but the with the Mirena your periods are less...I have had mine for about 6 months and haven't had what I consider a real period. I do prefer IUDs, you don't have to take a pill so you never have the chance to forget and they are more effective than any pill. Hope this helped.

What is the mini pill? and the IUD is good for ten years, doesnt mean you have to have it in that long. you can go a year or two years and have it taken out whenever. I would like to hear about the mini pill...

i honestly havent heard of "IUD"

But im going on the mini pill as its easy to take

and u can take for as long as u want as

by the 10 years hit u might want another kid so i wouldnt take "IUD"
