I think a mother should be able to do what feels right for her, whether that's staying home or working part- or full-time. Some women love being home with their children all the time and tending to them, me being one of them. I got laid off from my job shortly after returning from my maternity leave, so I was sort of thrown into the SAHM role without getting to think about it much. I had the opportunity to get other jobs, but none of them paid enough for me to get quality childcare and still bring home enough money to make a difference, so my husband and I opted to become a one-income family. Not every family is able, or even willing, to do the same, and I don't judge them for their arrangement. I would hope no one would judge me for my choice, but there are a lot of opinionated people out there. If someone judges you for being a SAHM, just ignore them, they don't understand it.

I agree. It's not a bad thing some moms go back to work but moms like you and I choose to stay home and not have (in my opinon) someone else raise our children. Whether it be a nanny, daycare or family member. Respectively there are those who have no choice but to go back to work to help out with the finances. We're fortunate enough for me not to HAVE to work so I choose to spend time with my kids. Once all my kids start school full time then I'll go back to work but for now these are the moments you cant replace no matter how hard whoever watches them but you tries to explain their first word/step/laugh/etc.
