Pre-schooler peeing in house

I just found some pee in the corner, behind the chair. My almost 4 year old confessed. I can't figure out why he would do that. My husband said I shouldn't get mad, boys do things without thinking. What should I do?

Is he doing it for attention, to get a reaction, or is there a chance he has a UTI. He may just be too busy playing to want to go to the restroom. My four year old just did this yesterday and he has been potty trained since he was two. I would try to see if he even knows why he is doing it.
