pregnant or not pregnant? what do you guys think?

wow such a huge response to this! well i had my pap smear (which was quick and not very thorough) and she didn't say anything about finding a baby in there. so i'm going with "something else". i am going to be 32 in a few months and the thought of pre menopause did occur to me! i guess i will wait and see. i'm not a big fan of going to the dr for every little thing...driving myself crazy in the process!

As a nurse, I would suggest scheduling an ultrasound with your dr. Also, if you happen to be in your thirties, you could be entering peri-menopause or menopause. Many of the beginning symptoms are the same (including a possible positive pregnancy test if there is no pregnancy due to all the hormone and chemical shifts in your body). Have you had your dr check you physically? He can tell you if there is a uterine pregnancy that way as well. If there is no uterine pregnancy, it could be ectopic. Sadly, in 99% of ectopic pregnancies, the fetus does not survive. Have your dr run a basic blood panel as well as the pregnancy test to be sure that there are no abnormalities in the blood, as your symptoms can indicate a tumor or infection as well.

Have you missed a period yet? Or had another positive home pregnancy test? How many at home tests have you taken now?

I agree with Crickett... When I was trying to get pregnant I would swear I was pregnant every single month (before my period). I guess in my head I was just wanting to be pregnant so bad that my body started reacting that way. So I know its possible for you to think so much abut being pregnant that your body starts thinking that you are pregnant too (gaining weight, boobs aching, etc.).

SSSSOOOOO PREGO!!! I took several pregnancy tests and none of them showed positive until I was just over 2 months prego. Vasectomy's can go wrong. I've heard of them reversing themselves and the guy ends up getting a girl pregnant.... Good luck! And all I have to say is that if you are pregnant (which I'm sure you are) everything happens for a reason, and nothing that you can't handle would ever be given to you!

well, it's still up in the air, but you would not be the first person to get pregnant after a vasectomy, tube litigation, or on birth control of any kind... it happens :) go with the flow :)

This is interesting to me because my hubby had a vasectomy and I had my tubes tied after having our 3RD child. I have P.C.O.S (Poly-Cystic Ovary Syndrome) and we had tried for several years to have our first one. Our 2ND and 3RD we major surprises, so we felt that having kids back to back something had to be done. Hubby always joked about having a vasectomy done but FOOLED everyone when he did.I had my tubes clamped during the c-section delivery of our daughter in Jan of 2009. I off and on, for months after weaning our 22 month old daughter (she was 14 months when I stopped), kept feeling and thinking I was pregnant because of our children being 2 years apart and the thought of having a baby sister for my daughter kept popping in my head. With every symptom and feeling, the pregnancies test came out negative.

Years ago a friend of mine went through the same thing as you feeling pregnant and getting 3 neg. tests and 1 pos. test. She had an ultrasound and it showed a little fetus. The was something with her blood that was causing the false reading and that time she was 5 months. Sadly, my friend lost the baby and she didn't know why. Ask for another blood test to find something specific and more sensitive that can detect hormone levels and another ultrasound. The baby could also be in your abdominal cavity, this may be another reason why it can not be found. A lady on OPRAH had this happen to her. I encourage you to NOT STRESS, take it easy and keep getting the answers you need. Treat your body as if you were.

Man this is a tough one! haha i mean say a woman always knows her body. LIke ive only had one baby and of course i didnt know nay of the signs except the obvious one throwing up and what not but i didnt get any of that however i was gettin this painful cramp and new something wasnt right went to the doctor and sure enough i was pregnant im starting to feel that again so im thinkin im am but im not sure if its just in my brain. but for real uve had enough kids to kno ur body u kno what i mean. So good luck with it all i really want to kno what it turns out to be!!!

I say pregnant, my one friend thought she was pregnant and kept going to the doctors and getting tested and it all came back negative, it wasn't until she was 7 months pregnant the test came back positive. i found that doing the at home tests in the morning get the most accurate results, same with the blood work, if it's still early in the pregnancy it wont show up in blood work taken in the afternoon yet. If you are pregnant, congratulations! oh and sometimes vasectomys can reverse themselves, its a very small percentage, but if the two end of the tube that get cut are close enough to each other, they will build cells and heal itself and it usually take a couple years to fully be funcitional again.

YOUR NOT! the minute you began to worry about it , your body reacts and you notice every little thing. cats also notice when we are worried or concerned. box pregnancy test are pretty accurate. but if you are and are getting 3 negative, 1 positive you need to see a doctor. could be hormones flukes. and there are many other reasons for all your symptons. make sure to have complete physical not just blood work. you must rule out any other cause.

the blood test came back negative...however the symptoms are only getting stronger!! i have my yearly pap test coming up in a few weeks so i will wait and see what they say. my primary DR did the blood test...and i'm not a big fan of that lab...
whatever it is i will be happy. we said we were done and i was sure then...but if i am then it was meant to be and i will be happy!

You can actually get a false positive if the test itself was not properly sealed or a number of other factors. That being said if the symptoms continue I would go back in and ask for an ultrasound. You can experience pregnancy symptoms without a positive test result if you have a tubular pregnancy.

still feeling the same symptoms!! i just went and put on my "bigger" blue jeans and they are TIGHT!!!! i haven't changed my diet any and i get plenty of exercise so i'm pretty sure i'm not just getting "fat"!! i have my yearly pap test coming up in a few weeks....so i will just wait it out til then and see what they say!

i say YES u are pregnant. if your having all the signs and your hubby is saying your are then i think he is right. your noticing things that happened with your first 2 pregnancies which mean im sure you are pregnant. but wow wat are the chances of getting pregnant and your hubby is sterile omg :0 i guess the dr didnt do a good job at the procedure but good luck

theres still a possibility that u can still get pregant...or the procedure might have not been done right... but with all the signs your getting now that was the same with your first 2 children, you may be pregnant

I vote pregnant. I took 4 at home pregnancy tests w/my first and only 1 was positive. The nurses told me it's easy to get a false negative b/c of the amount of hormones present but it's virtually impossible to get a false positive. Good luck!

I say pregnant, but pretty early on in the pregnancy. Hormones act funny at that stage, but you show a lot of the signs, without the positive results showing up yet. Find something to keep you engaged while you wait for a week or two to go by, and test again.

My husband had a vasectomy. Some days I wish he had not I would love another little one right now. I think pregnant.
