We were at a birthday party tonight and the kids were doing very well. We have a three year old, a five year old, and a six year old. Well the little boy sat down to start opening presents and my five year old started acting up. she was getting up and in the way of the little boys parents trying to take pictures so i told her twice to sit down and she listened but she did it a third time so i removed her from the group of kids and made her stand with me. and explained to her that she was being rude and needed to sit down. Pretty much as soon i put my five year old with me my six year old started to do the same thing so i removed her from the situation and explained that she was being rude also and thats she needed to sit down. Well when they were standing next to me they started arguing with each other so i moved them to a table away from everyone else and both of them started to throw tantrums. I was so embarrased. And meanwhile my three year old was doing great so i didnt want to ruin the party for him and that was the only reason we stayed. When the little boy was done we got up and left and the tantrums just got worse i just wanted to cry. I dont know if i am doing a good job with them or if i am just a bad mom i dont understand their behavoir. It is so frustrating...
