Veronica you can get a convertable that goes to 35-40 lbs. There are a lot of good ones out there. The Radian XT is awesome, my favorite. I think on the "when can my baby move to a bigger seat" thread, there was some info on buying convertable seats for Canadian mommas. It's recommended to go till at least 2 but you can certainly go until the limits of your seat which I plan to do. They are both 31lbs so they still have some growing room.

That's awesome! I am a HUGE fan of extended rear facing, but in Australia (which is where I am from) the maximum weight of ANY rear facing seats is 12 kilos (about 28 pounds). Which is sad we will probably be turning my LO around at about 13 months. I just wish Australia was as up to date as other parts of the world in regards to extended rear facing!
