I read over some of the comments and I would like to suggets a family name. I don't know what your husbands name is but maybe his name as the middle? Perhaps a grandfather or great grandfather? For my son Marshall my husband and I did both of our dad's middle names: Marshall Jay Wayne

I personally like Alexander and James as the middle name as well, but then my 1st son's middle name is Alexander (which he loves by the way)!

I think you should take the e off of your name and name him Rowan Jordan Rhodes! He is mommy's baby boy after all! What is daddy's 1st name? maybe that could be his middle name so he's a little bit of dad w/o being a junior.

why dont you try either the fathers name or a member of the family we have Samuel francis and joseph mathew we were throwing names at each other while i was pregnant and my mums bf was thrilled when we put his first name as a middle name

i really like alexander.. the problem with that is my older sister named her little boy alex after our grandfather. so 3 alex's i think would be a little many... =[ i love all the names yal have given.. which makes it even harder to choose.. i think it would be nice to stick with an R it almost sounds like thats what would flow the best but with the names given so far we've both agreed on Rowan Matthew Rowan Riley & Rowan Bradley.. which is a favorite of mine so far! thanks for the help!

We almost named my second son Radley.

Rowan Radley Rhodes. Might be a little much.

We gave both our sons family names for their middle names... maybe go with a name of someone in your family you would like to honor.

Alexander is cute, but you have to think your sons initials will be RAR!!!! I don't know about that!! It depends if you guys are going with something more traditional or something newer?!?
I think Rowan William Rhodes sound like a strong name!!
Or maybe something more like Rowan River Rhodes, that has a cool ring to it!!

R A R, sounds a bit like he's having leave from the army, sorry i don't mean to offend.why are we so stuck on giving our kids middle names anyway,when i named daughter i felt that Verity was a big enough mouthful for her to cope with as she got older she chose her own middle name and now signs herself with that name, it makes me happy that she was able to a part of choosing how she wants to be known and called.

i think any common name like James, Alexander, Steven. Rowan isnt common, and it's not "out there." i love Rowan. our son is Tristan James. like Rowan, Tristan isnt very common, but not "out there" so we chose a common name to balance it out. i like Rowan James.
