Pat his chest and say his name. Then pat your own chest and say "mommy" or whatever you prefer.
I still talk about myself in third person, A LOT.
"mommy wants you to come here"
My husband also calls me mommy in front of her.

He will get the hang of it once he realizes the difference ... let it go, try "Mommie" every time he calls you Kathy amd see what happens.
I know a little boy who called his mommie "Hun" as his Daddy affectionately called her "Hun"! CUTE, HUH?

My son started doing this when he was about 2, I guess because every one else calls me by my name too. I didn't make a big deal about it because after all, it is MY NAME! Now he does it less frequently and mainly calls me mum or mama (and sometimes babe, like hubby does!) he undertands that it's OK to call each other by various names but the love is still the same, he says to me, "my name is Jai and dude and bubby!"

You can always try saying 'call me mama'...my daughter has called me bitsy (my name is brittney) and I asked her to call me mama and she hasnt called me bitsy she started saying that when she was 14 months every so often.
