Subtle yellow walls (warm colors convey intimacy and warmth and relaxation) with animal stickers (the vinyl ones that just peel right off if you want to change the theme) all over (they can help you place them) mobils with birds, bugs, lizards etc. to make them feel like they are in the jungle also helps with learning animal names. Throw some gender appropriate toys in there for them to share and play with seperately. It can't really hurt a boy to play with a doll or a girl with a truck.
Have fun and good luck.

you know i think a pale yellow or green would be cute, like stripes or polka dots with their names above their beds in white ( like the wooden letters you can buy at walmart) that is what i would picture having...hope that helped a little :)

How about green or yellow? You could do a jungle theme with animals.

We did wild animals like a lion, elephant, giraffe and such. There are lots of fabrics and patterns for it.

Purple and blue always look cute together. Or if you did a Sesame Street theme, you could do Elmo and Abby Kadabby. You could even do Dora and Diego. I like using wall stickers to put characters on the wall.
