Depends on the kiddo. My baby was 10 pounds when she was born and grew so fast that she was always hungry. I had to feed her every 2-3 hours till she was 4 months old and started eating some rice cereal. My second kid was almost 10 pounds as well, but she hasn't grown as fast. So she eats every 4 hours and sleeps 7-9 hours at night. Every kid is different. But if your baby isn't spitting it up try feeding her larger amounts.
It really depends on the baby. If they're keeping it all down, maybe try feeding them a little more. For some babies, sucking is a comfort thing and it soothes them. If they're not keeping their food down then I'd try a pacifier. My son would never take one so I had to find something else to soothe him. I had the same problem and people would tell me that he's hungry when he clearly just ate, so as a new mom having doubts put into my head that maybe he was still hungry, I tried giving him more and then I had a huge spit up mess. You're the mom and you know your baby best. Don't let anyone try to put doubts into your head. :)

every baby is different but mine eats every 4-5 hrs. We fed her about every 2-3 hrs til she was like a week old. then my doc told me the BEST advice i have ever gotten in my LIFE: babies arent stupid, dont wake them if they are sleeping and its time to eat. let them go as long as they want without eating. they will let you know when they are hungry.
we followed that advice every since and she has been sleeping through the night since she was 8 weeks. personally i think its just has to do with the kid and what they have grow accustomed to. i have friends who fed their babies religiously ever 2-3 hrs (like the doc n nurses tell you when they are born) and now they cant get their kid to sleep through the night. i wish everyone had the doctor we had. he truly saved me a lot of trouble! =)
