My son is such a picky eater. I get sick just thinking about it. Everytime I get him to try something he act lke I just gave him poison. Some people that when he is hungry he will it whatever it is I made but he's gone nights without eating and I usually cave in and give him something else. Help!

ask him what he would like to eat.Show him a few things and let him pick one.Try getting him involved with the cooking.those things worked for me.I also give my children a multi vitaman everyday. GOOD LUCK

oh my gosh! hi! my son is 6 and the EXACT same way!!!! i used to get so upset and fight with him just to get him to try something new. then his pediatrician and i sat down and talked and she told me that it is not worth it to fight with him.... or to try and make him eat what we are eating or nothing at all... (he was just as stubborn and refused to eat until i gave in and fed him what he wanted.) so, if your child wants to eat chicken nuggets every day or buttered noodles (thats mine) thats OK - just make sure they are getting plenty of water, milk and a vitamin everyday and limit the junk food.... now, my son and i have a routine, we alternate meals.... and almost every night he eats a whole bunch of veggies.... mealtimes are sooooo much better no tears or gagging or fighting... a few weeks after we started this and things calmed down, i asked him to try something new, and he did. most of the time he will try something now willingly because he doesnt feel pressured.... i know it is tough... but hang in there... hopefully it will pass!!!!!!!

My 5 year old is also a picky eater. He loves to help me cook so some nights I let him cook dinner with him. He will do the simple things such as adding water to a pot or opening a box of pasta etc...Having him participate in the process makes him eat dinner!!!! Try it...... :o)

My daughter is a picky eater too. I just make sure that I buy the foods that she likes to eat. One morning my daughter did not want to eat breakfast food so I aske her what she wanted and she said a PB&J sandwich so that's what she got with a glass of milk. For me it's easier to give my child what she eats and slowly introduce different foods.

well the dr's say not to force ur child to eat n e thing they dont want to, but what i use to do is make something they like and mix in stuff they cant see like veggies and poatoes.like meatloaf easy to hide other food in.stuff like that hope i helped a little.have a great day
