I can be a bit of a lazy one, what with 2 under 2. :) But with some things i can be a natzi :P Just curious how the rest of you cope.

Wash dishes: Constantly as they appear
Mop Floors: Once a month or so, unless someone comes over and they're bad :/
Sweep Floors: Every second day or so, depending on the mess, not a routine
Vacuum: Doing this a bit more often now, maybe every 2-3days but used to let this go for a couple weeks at a time!
Do the laundry: Every 2-3 days. I like to keep on top of this one.
Bathe the kids: Every 2-3 days.
Wash your hair: Try to do this every 2nd day or else it gets oily!
Clean bathroom sink & toilet: Used to do it 3-4 days but now sometimes let it go for a week or week & half...once i let it go for 3 weeks, got so busy!!
Dust: Whenever i see it, i mean whenever it looks bad. Can be a week or so.
Cook dinner/lunch: This has gotten real bad. Lucky to do it once a week! I don't have enough quick easy recipes!
Grocery shopping: 1 & a half weekly
Wash sheets: Monthly, but more often if they get real bad or have a leaky nappy or in summer.
Ironing: Never! lol. Used to do it every night before bed to be ready for work the next day, but now i dont work so i dont really care!

Feel free to add any others i've missed :)

Amy M, your post reminded me of this, it's been a while, but I still remember....

One day, my husband came home from work and had to go pee. He lifted the lid to find a dozen plastic dinosaurs, some army men, a book, 2 pairs of socks, a CD, a brush, and my perfume, stuffed in the toilette. I have no idea how that happened, but for the next like 3 years I was constantly checking the toilette.

Ok, here comes my honest truth about cleaning lol

Wash dishes: Every morning I unload the dishwasher and reload it. I keep loading it as the day goes on and then run it at night when I go to bed. Any hand wash dishes, I try to do every day but I've been known to have a dirty pot in my sink for a day or two (rinsed and no food in it, just not clean).

Mop Floors: I HATE MY FLOORS! This house we're renting is wall to wall carpet in every room, including bathrooms and kitchen, which I find DISGUSTING. My landlord was supposed to tile the kitchen and bathrooms this summer but he had some other things come up and wasn't able to get it done. I'm about to pay to do it ourselves because I really can't stand it. I use bath mats in the bathrooms because I simply don't want to know who or what is on the carpet from before we moved in. I've shampooed the kitchen and bathroom carpets probably 5 times in the last 8 months. Never in my life have I not owned a mop. Until now.

Sweep Floors: See mop question lol I do sweep my front and back porches about once a week.

Vacuum: Every day. Rarely, I'll skip a day. I have cats so there's the fur issue. Plus, my husband (and 3 year old) can't eat anything without leaving crumbs. When my hubby eats popcorn and then stands up, he leaves what I affectionately call "pop corn poopies" on the couch.

Do the laundry: I average a load every other day. But getting it folded and put away every time is another story.

Bathe the kids: Every other day unless he gets dirty.

Wash your hair: Every other day.

Clean bathroom sink & toilet: Once a week, sometimes once every two weeks. I keep Clorox wipes in each bathroom and wipe up as needed. I rarely remember to do the mirrors when I clean the bathrooms though. I don't know why lol

Dust: I think I dusted sometime back in 2001, maybe 2002...I don't dust. The only things I do dust semi-regularly are the fan blades on the ceiling fan.

Cook dinner/lunch: I usually cook 3, sometimes 4 times a week and then Sunday is leftover / graze day. If you want some pretty good and quick stuff you should join the group called Recipe Swap on here. They always save me when I'm in need of something simple, fast, and with what I've got.

Grocery shopping: I prefer to make a monthly trip to BJ's wholesale and then weekly trips to the grocery for smaller things but over the last few months I've been lazy and skip the wholesale and just go to the grocery as needed, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week.

Wash sheets: Monthly unless my son's diaper leaks.

Ironing: If it requires ironing, I don't buy it. We're a wash and wear family lol I honestly can't remember the last iron I even owned.....high school maybe? I won't say how long ago THAT was ;)

wow. You guys are busy people! My husband works nights, so during the morning, he will help pick up the house. Our kids have chores and they pretty much keep on them (they want to get paid). I make them bathe and wash their hair every night. I have to wash my hair every night or it looks like I poured oil on it.We bathe the dog about once a month. We do a few loads of laundry a day along with at least one load of dishes. On top of that, I work, my daughters have 4 days of dance, my son has Boy Scouts and orthodontist appts. He just finished swim lessons, so we have a little extra time. On Sundays we have church. We stay busy. WIth us being gone all the time, I wonder how my house gets so messy!!

I vacuum every day, sometimes twice! Between baby dropping crumbs and the dog tearing up stuff I have to. lol
I dont sweep, we have all carpet.
Clean bathtub/sinks once a week
Laundry whenever it needs washing. My partner's uniforms get washed by the company so I dont iron ever.
I cook every night and lunces are just easy sandwiches, snaks are usually crackers and cheese so we only have one hot meal =]
Grocery shopping each week
I wash dishes when they over power the sink...lol...I hate washing dishes sooo much

Wow, this thread makes me feel soooooo much better about myself! It's good to know that I'm not the only one in the world that gets the lazy bones and lets things slide lol. Great idea, thanks!
Now, let's see,
Wash dishes: like twice a day, it's my least fave chore.
Mop Floors: like once or twice a month, depending. Or if I'm having company and they're really nasty I'll mop.
Sweet Floors: at least once every two days, we have a long haired cat.
Vacuum: like every other day, because of the cat hair.
Laundry: we don't have a washer and dryer at my house, so I have to go to my moms to do laundry.. like once a week or so.
Bathe the kids: every other dayish. sometimes it slips my mind and he goes 3 days without one, but that is at the very most.
Wash my hair: every other day... if I'm lucky lol.
Clean bathroom: 2-3 times a week, my family is hell on the bathroom and we use that exfoliating body wash.. makes for an icky tub if you don't keep it cleaned out.
Dust: every single day. We have glass table tops and you can see the dust collecting on it. Dusty furniture drives me insane, it's a big pet peeve of mine. If I get nothing else done during the day, I at least dust lol. I know, I'm weird =).
Cook dinner: about 3 times a week-ish. It depends on how we buy our groceries. Also, my hubby is on more of a second shift schedule, I cook breakfast like 4-5 days a week. It used to be every day until money started getting tight. I know that sounds bad, but cereal is much less expensive than bacon, eggs, sausage and biscuits lol.
Grocery shopping: we go big grocery shopping like twice a month, other than that, hubby picks up the stuff we run out of on his way home from work.
Wash sheets: like once a month. Like I said, I have no washer and dryer so it makes it tough... booo. I do, however, make the beds every single morning.
Ironing: riiiiiiight lol. I haven't ironed in over a year haha.
Tidying up: constantly. I'm always going after my son and picking things up. It seems like every time I get one mess cleaned up, there's an even bigger one waiting on me lol.

I used to be such a neat freak, I would wear myself out by the early evening from all of the un necessary cleaning I would do. I finally came to my senses, with the help of my hubby, and learned to relax a little and enjoy my time with my son while I've got it. He goes to school next year, so he will be gone the biggest part of the day. My husband is really laid back, he's neat and tidy, don't get me wrong, but he doesn't expect to come into a spotless house every night. He knows how active my little boy is and how hard it is to get things done. Like I said before, this thread really boosted my self confidence. Thanks, ladies =)!

ive got a 4 and a 20mo so it gets a bit messy around here, less so now that my 4yr old is helping with alot of the picking up but...
Wash dishes: all the time, i do all the dishes and i walk out of the kitchen for 5 min and my sink is full again i swear!!!
Mop Floors: durring the winter maybe every 2 wks, during dry seasons, maybe once a month or so....
Sweep Floors: almost every day, i live in the desert so there is constantly dirt flowin, being dragged or spilled in
Vaccuum: maybe every other day, my 20 mo still picks stuff off the floor and spreads food like nobody's business
Laundry, i try to do a load every day but usually it ends up as a once a week lock myself upstairs and do it all thing
Bathe kids: mine are older so they get a bathe everyday, they'll sit in there for an hour or so and play and i clean up the bathroom and switch laundry and pick up there rooms
Wash Your Hair: i have really really oily hair so i try for every other day but some days i am toooo tired and skip it
Clean bathroom, sink, toilet: bout once a week, i pick up and straighten everyday but actually cleaning gets pushed a little
Dust: same as you, very rarely, if i can see it i give it a day or two more and then attack
Cook dinner/lunch: i cook dinner almost everyday, lunch is usually out of the can freezer or box.... or a sandwich
Grocery Shopping: i stock so i go once a month for everything and once a week for little stuff
wash sheets: mine? i dunno, when laundry is caught up and kids are behaving... maybe or i take a nap instead. the kids is about once a month unless they do something dirty, leak throw up or spill.... they arent supposed to have stuff in their rooms but that doesnt mean it doesnt happen occasionally
Iron: never, no reason no way!!
*CLEAN OUT THE FRIDGE* lol i do this regularly actually, anytime i have alot of left overs or something smells bad

i would say you are lazy at all you seem to do things same as me if not more often and you got smaller babies than i do so i'd say your busier than me!

Dang you all make me seem lazy. lol

I have a wonderful husband that helps with the kitchen so I do get out of that every other day..

Now for the rest of it I will clean why the kids are in school. What looks like it needs done gets done. Or maybe not..lol My house always looks picked up but rarely is it every top notch clean. Now the boys get a bath at least every other day. Teeth get brushed three times a day. They do there home work for an hr. to get 30 min t.v or video time. After home work we do "play" time. Then dinner and there 30 min fill time. This is when I clean up the kitchen from dinner. I go to the gym in the morning and walk the dogs when I get home. In total I try and clean for a least an hr or so a day. But I also like to sit back and enjoy life and my family so cleaning never seems to be on top of my list. Like the other day it was 55 outside. Skip homework time and cleaning time. Made a quick dinner and went to the park. :)

Summer the house stays clean. For we are never inside. I love to garden so its outside with that or playing ball with the boys and/or dogs. We also love to camp and fish so we have allot of weekends and week days we are not even home. So PLEASE hurry up summer..lol

But good job all of you. I wish I was able to all ways feel that my house is clean. But when people stop over I am always trying to put something up. .lol most of the time it only takes a min so its not all that bad.

I went back and had to see what everyone else said. I had to laugh at some of the hubbys out there. I am thankful for such a good man. He will even give me at least three back rubs a week. So I must be doing something good..lol But if my husband was to ever tell me I was lacking then I would do my best to meet him in the middle. As I know he would do for me. Heck thats what marriage is all about. And I am happy with life so no complaints.

loved reading these. such fun! Was a bit shocked by the one who washes her windows weekly, till i read the next one down who does it daily on the inside! Golly me....im so slack with this one. i've done alll the windows once in total since we've built the house 3 years ago! lol. and it took two seperate times to get them done and took the whole day to do each time. i swore i wont do them ever again!

lol at the mother who used to iron her hubby's boxers :) i love ironing but i hardly ever do it coz there's not much time (also meaning i dont prioritise it), so when i do do it i like to do everything, including towels ;)

wow at the husband who is very particular about his clothes and the way they hang on the hanger. amazing. my mum used to be like this, tried to teach me back when i was a teenager, but it never stuck.
im curious about this mans work? what does he do? im guessing a high corporate job.
you're a very loving wife to take of his shoes and rub his feet everyday when he comes in. my husband didnt even do this for me when i was pregnant and working at the office :(

@ Wendy: If my husband was that particular about it. I'd tell him that he can do it then. I don't have time to waste on something so frivolous. On the other hand you seem to enjoy it so I guess no harm no foul.

Wash dishes: At least every other day. But I wait for the dishwasher to fill up first. I do a prerinse in the sink though so there isn't any dried on food on anything.
Mop floors: Uh... every 2-3 months... honestly the floors look so bad as is you can't tell. I do spot clean if something falls and makes a mess though.
Sweep floors: Every 3-4 days or so. We have a very small area that is hard flooring so it doesn't really need to be swept often.
Vacuum: I vacuum a lot more in the late summer, fall and early winter, when people are tracking in leaves. I vacuum the entire house at least once a week.
Do the Laundry: About every 3-4 days
Bathe the kids: Every 2-3 days
Wash my hair: Daily... it bugs me otherwise.
Clean Bathroom: This one I really should do more often. I wipe down the counter and tub about once a week. For some reason I often forget to clean the toilet... that's kinda sad isn't it? I mean I don't lift up the seat so I don't see any stains under there and we don't have hard water so the bowl stays pretty nice.
Dust: I try for once a week, more often when company is coming over.
Cooking Dinner/lunch: I try to cook something everyday. But there are those days when it's PB&J and that's it.
Grocery shopping: Every two weeks when my husband get's paid.
Wash the sheets: About every 2 months or so. It's often because I forget... I of course wash it if my daughter's diaper leaks.
Ironing.... we don't even have one... no wait we do it's in a box in storage.

@Wendy- Are you freaking serious??? I would knock my husband out if he expected all of that. He can come home from work and rub my feet and while he is at it rub my back too.

Dishes- either myself or my husband loads the dishwasher every night and my husband unloads it in the morning
Floors- I spot vacuum every day and once a week or so I will mop and deep clean
Dusting- haha I don't freaking think so
Laundry- is never ending but I am bad about forgetting it in the washer and having to rewash everything but more often than not my husband loads the washer and dryer and I fold the clothes and put away the kids clothes and he hangs all of our clothes that hang and put them in the appropriate closet and puts away our folded clothes.
Wash my hair- every day
Wash the kids- the 4 year old bathes himself every day and I bathe my 10month old every 2-3 days depending on what she got into to.
grocery shopping- my hubby and I aim for once a week
cooking- either myself or my husband cook every meal depends on who is home
and I am pretty sure my bathrooms clean themselves and the trash takes itself out because I know I sure as heck don't do it.....or my hubby is that good that I just don't notice. We really try to split all the chores half and half because he messes up this house worse than the kids. My son cleans his own room and picks up his and his sisters toys. I am a stay at home mom....not a slave, maid, short order cook, and I definitely do not feel that I need to serve my husband or my kids. I am staying home to be with my kids and to do things with them not to spend all day cleaning. Oh and my husband shines my boots and his boots.

Wash dishes: 2x per day; after breakfast and after dinner. I have a dishwasher but I'm too much of a neat freak to not clean them IMMEDIATELY!
Mop Floors: Twice per week, unless we have company then more.
Sweep Floors: I vaccum as it picks up more than just shuffling dirt around with a broom. Oh - and 1-2 times daily.
Vacuum: Daily, but not necessarily the entire house.
Do the laundry: Daily. I have two sons and a husband who works out on a regular basis!
Bathe the kids: I still bathe my little one daily.
Wash your hair: Once a day.
Clean bathroom sink & toilet: Once per week unless we have company, then more.
Dust: Whole house - once per week, common areas every other day.
Cook dinner/lunch: Daily - each meal including breakfast. This is something I am adamant about and I love doing.
Grocery shopping: 2-3 times per week. ALL of my boys have hearty appetites and if I did it all in one shot it would take forever just to load the bags into the house.
Wash sheets: Twice per month on average.
Ironing: I iron all of my husband's dress shirts and dress pants. Sometimes it will be all in one shot on Sunday night or I do them throughout the week during the day. NEVER in the morning though. I'm expected to have them layed out for him the night before in case he has an early or unexpected meeting. (The one time I made him late was the LAST time! It wasn't appreciated, to say the least.) I also iron my sons' dress shirts for special occassions or the days that my oldest has a football game.

My husband has very high standards for himself and is a very well kempt man so there are certain chores that take longer than just tossing clean clothes back into a drawer or closet. He has particular ways he wants them folded and hanged. Pleated pants have to be even on the hanger and flat-front pants have to be hung with the clips a certain amount of inches apart; shoulder seams on shirts cannot drape over the front of the hanger...that kinda stuff. I also polish his shoes 2-4 times per month depending on the weather. I like to keep them in tip-top shape for him but I'll admit that is one thing I forget. When he comes home from work I am usually the one to take his shoes off because I rub his feet every night, and after his rub comes dinner, so after all that I have forgotten if they need touching up. He's never complained about it though! :)

UGH! Chores.
Wash dishes: after each meal, so I don't get lazy and let them pile up.
Vacuum: Downstairs - every day, upstairs - once a week! ;)
Laundry: everyday, fella's a chef so it stinks if I don't get it done.
Bathe kids: every other night. Go through their hair with a nit comb every Sunday night - ick!
Clean bathroom: every other day, so small it takes minutes.
Dust: every 2-3 days, little boy helps with this one!
Cook dinner/tea: nearly every day as the chef is always at work.
Grocery shopping: once a week, family outing!
Wash sheets: once a week, can't stand dirty sheets. Used to do it every 2-3 days and the sheets had to be perfectly ironed or they'd be back in the wash. Thank god my fella got me off that one!
Wash hair: every other day, it's quite long though and I hate drying it.
Ironing: never! Used to get soooo stressed with it. It had to be perfectly pressed or there would be tears - seriously. (How sad?)
Wash windows: inside - daily (rented house and the windows desperately need replacing, there's a lake on every sill, every morning. :( ) outside - when they look dirty.

I'm no where near as bad as I used to be, I'd be up at the crack of dawn and scrubbing like Cinders, til it was time to go to work, then I'd finish off when I got back. If anything was out of place? OMG WW3! My Mum had OCD when I was little and I think it rubbed off on me a little. She used to iron my Dad's boxers!?

Lol I'm a clean freak! I am always cleaning it seems like but I dn't have a special order or routine when cleaning I just do it!
Dishes is almost twice a day. Sometimes 3.
Laundry is daily. I'm always washing clothes, bt we have 4 kids and us 2 adults!
Vacuuming I do sometimes twice a day but at least once a day everyday. We have 2 big dogs and I hate seeing their hair on the floor!
Mopping I do sometimes every other day or maybe every 2 days. depends on if it's raining or wet outside. The dogs will bring in mud and I hate dirty floors!
Cooking I have to do quick breakfast with 2 kids in school. Small lunch since it's usually just my 2 youngest and a daycare one and dinner is the main and largest meal feeding usually 10 of us! My fiance helps with that most the time though!
Grocery shopping I try to do it all once a month but end up going to get something!
Bathroom and toliets I usually do once or twice a week. Depending on the dirtiness!
Baths for the kids is every other day.
I shower every day but I don't wash my hair except for every other day.
Dusting is my least favorite chore! I slack on that one until about once a mnth or so.
Sweeping the floors I do every day.
Cleaning out the fridge and taking out garbage is once a week usually. Well garbage is almost every other day but my fiance does that as well!
And I clean windows once a week as well!

Mop: once a month maybe. We have more carpet than floor so.....
Sweep: Daily in the kitchen, weekly in the front hallway
Vacuum: Daily
Laundry: Seems like every day but I do everyone's laundry one day and get them folded and put away the next day if I dont get it done immediately
Bathe kids: every night
Wash my hair: once a week, or when I want to remove product to do another hairstyle
Clean bathroom sink & toilet: every day.
Dust: rarely unless I see it looks like a coat of dust collecting somewhere (usually on the ceiling fans)
Cook: every day unless Mister comes home and decides he wants to cook
Grocery shopping: twice a month
Wash sheets: twice a month
Ironing: rarely. The girls' school clothes are usually laid out the night before and if they dont need to be pressed, they wont be.

I do a little bit of everything everyday. I have a timer that I set for 15 minutes in each room and do whatever I can get done in 15 minutes. There are a few chores that I don't consider part of that, though, the weekly ones, or like the continuous kitchen stuff.

Wash Dishes: Load the washer throughout the day, then run it at night, unload it everyday during the kitchen's 15.

Sweep/Mop: About every other day--you have to go through my kitchen from the garage so it gets bad quick.

Vacuum: Everyday during the 15 for each room.

Laundry: Every other day or so, but not on weekends-that's my break!

Bed linens: I make the beds everyday, but I only take the linens off and wash them on Fridays.

Dust: Everyday, during the 15.

Wash my hair: Every day :( It's an oily mess if I don't.

Wash kid: Pretty much every day, unless he is unusually clean, my little bugger gets dirty.

Iron: I don't iron either. If it has to be ironed, it has to be dry cleaned.

Cooking: Every night except Mondays (Taekwondo goes late that night, so we get take away) and we eat out a lot on weekends too...

Grocery shopping: I aim for once every 2 weeks, but usually make a weekly run for stuff we use up too quick.

I forgot bathrooms :/ wouldn't want to do that in real life. I have two, so I clean each one every other day--I'm the only girl in this house, you can't let it go long around here :P

In addition to all of that, my son also has daily ECI (Early Childhood Intervention) for an hour AND daily ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy for two hours for his Autism. After all that, I also do at least a 1 hour therapy before bath and bed time. We also have Friday afternoon music class with other Autistic children and the occassional playdates.

Ha. Fun.

Wash dishes: Seems like all day long.
Mop Floors: I seem to be washing the main floors every single day. Maybe not the whole thing, but my dogs drag in mud, so it's get done. Other rooms, once a week I guess.
Sweep Floors: Whatever days I don't vacuum.
Vacuum: Almost every day. We have a lot of animals. There is fur everywhere. If you go a day without vacuuming, you notice it.
Do the laundry: There always seems to be a load in. But we have cloth diapers too. I try to keep clothes/sheets/towels to a couple of days a week.
Bathe the kids: Every two days usually. Sometimes I am absent-minded about this. I really need a calendar for the simplest tasks.
Wash your hair: Once or twice a week. I have dry hair.
Clean bathroom sink & toilet: Once a week or as needed. This is the chore my daughter is least accommodating of.
Dust: Every 1-2 days. Again, pets.
Cook dinner/lunch: There is sometimes one night a week in which we go out, but not every week. We often have a family lunch out on Saturdays. Otherwise, it's all on me. I love cooking though.
Grocery shopping: Twice a week.
Wash sheets: I try to do them once a week. Sometimes I forget. I'm much better at remembering daily tasks I think.
Ironing: I don't unless there's some special event or clothing item that absolutely requires it. That hardly ever happens. Ironing is for chumps.
