Hey Ladies...I'm looking for some things to do with my 6 month old. I'm in Southern California so I'd like to stay out of the heat, but I feel stir crazy being in my house 24/7. Any idea's would be awesome! THANKS

Errands are a good way to pass time. My son liked to just look around, etc. really, do things you want to do...he's happy to tag along most likely.

It's hard for more "kid centered" activities b/c 6 months is so little but play at your local library if there is a play place, and some malls have play places which if nothing else gets you talking to other moms and the baby seeing lots of new faces. You can bring his own toys and have him sit out of the chaos or crawl around what he can.

Does your town/city offer any rec programs for babies? Or check on line for things to do with a 6 month old. I have been taking my son to music class since he was 4 months. It is a lot of fun and now at 16 months he really gets into it. Gymboree-like classes are fun too. Also good way to meet other moms.

It's hard to find things to do with a 6 month old, but before long your baby will be up and at it and it will get easier.

I know the feeling. I try to rotate rooms and toys all day long. My son LOVES watching Baby Einstein. When it gets cooler we go to the park and out for walks. I am trying to meet other SAHM in my area for playdates/adult conversation.

they're not very fun at this age yet so there aren't many things to do with a 6 month old. strap her on to you in a carrier or in a stroller and do what you usually do or want to do, museum, shopping, etc.. anything is exciting to them. enjoy it now b/c in year from now you'll be doing playdates and park dates, etc. this is still your time.

Well you can finger paint they love that if you get a old white sheet and let them go all out with the paint and if you get in there and have fun with too. It's not to bad to clean up if you get the water based paint you can put the sheet in the wash and do it all over again..

Say hello to window shopping!!! My children at that age loved to ride in a stroller!!! and for me the excercise was a plus... I am in Alabama, so I do not know what is local to you...I always went to the mall, or a shopping center and when/if the weather cools down the park... I would also do mommy and baby lunch out...Subway and a jar of baby food and you are set... I know the stir crazy feeling.... I will call my husband at work and sing, "I've got cabin fever...I've got cabin fever"...You know what else, here we have a Fun Factory or Play Place and even though your baby is only six months old, there are things they can do there, and it might be great for you to meet some moms local to you to befriend and make playdates with as your child grows... Hope this helps you with things to do with a 6 month old!!! Good Luck and GOD Bless
