Hi everyone. I'm looking for some advice on how to have a boy. I have two beautiful girls that I wouldn't change for the world, but would really like to have a boy. Does anyone have any ideas, even if it's just an old wives tale would be interesting to hear it. I've heard putting your husband on a high salt and protein diet is good but how long should he be on it for? Anyway any advice or stories would be appreciated? 8-)

Im not sure how much it costs, but you can go to your locale sperm bank and have your husband/ boyfriend make a deposit, and they can actually remove most of the female chromosones from the sperm, in able to give you a much better chance at deciding what you would like the sex of the baby to be.

Ok this is slightly more scientific, but could still be an old wives tale for all I really know.
Apparently, XY sperm can swim for longer than XX sperm so if you have sex just before or when you first ovulate and the eggs are still very high up then the male sperm is more likely to get to them and the girl sperm usually gets the eggs that have come down a couple of days later. Which means if you ovulate on day 15, have sex on day 14 and 15. Ask your doctor about this just in case I have gotten the explanation a bit wrong.
Really, I think you should ask your OB. My friends doc gave her lots of advice to maximise chance of a boy.

OMG this is going to sound so wrong LOL... okay from what I learned male sperm swims faster than female sperm... so while the male sperm swims fast it uses up all of it energy in the swim and has a harder time getting into the egg, now the female sperm swims slower gets to the egg and has the energy to get into the egg before the male sperm... so you need to shorten the swim for the lil guys basicly!!! The deeper the penatration the higher chance of a boy!!!

My first two are boys, and they came from quickies, I got my girl from slow and easy.....also if you eat healthy the boys are able to make it easier. Your acidity level counts, a Dr. once told me that girls from women with a lot of sugar in their diets because the boys are killed off by high acidity. Hope this helps! Good luck!
