The books were great. The movies don't do the books justice though i enjoyed the movies 2. I have twilight and new moon on dvd just waiting for eclipse though it hasn't even made it to the cinemas yet. Have you tried the True blood books. There are big difference to the TV series, you may like those books aswell.

You are not alone in your addiction, I read all the books in about a week, and have read them so many times since I have lost count!. And I don't have much time to read. I read in the bathroom, while cooking dinner, at the doctors office, in the wee hours, so no you are not a dork!, some of us out here are right there with you. I am part of a group of moms in my community who will be going to watch the new movie the day it releases. Some of us have been given the task to grab those tickets as soon as they are available, because heaven forbids we don't get to go as soon as it releases :). We also have parties to celebrate the new releases.

I agree with Lisa, you might enjoy the True blood books as well, they are just as addictive. I just finished the last one released and already jonesing for the next. We are never too old to dream about the kind of romance and excitement these stories bring to our lives, so read on sister!.

Nope, not a dork at all!!! I have read the whole series at least twice and own both of the movies. A theater in my city is doing a Twilight Trilogy on June 29, and a friend and I are going (we both have kids and are in our late 20's). They are showing all 3 movies in a row and I can't wait!

(Stands up, raises head and says proudly) Hello, My name is Dee and I am a Twi-holic. My addiction began when a seemingly innocent movie came out on video.March 21st 2009,, ahhh my first sip. Then I thought Hmmm the movie was good,I'll try the book. ( I had not read for pleasure in many years) I read the four books in 8 days and have since gone on to many other series similar to Twilight... House of Night , Black Dagger Brotherhood to name a few. As you can tell by my avatar I like twilight and yes that is my room in the photo. By the way I am a grandma/ mom so there is no age at which this delicious addiction can by avoided. We can only ride the high and enjoy it. (quietly sits back down hoping she isn't the only twi/addict grandma)

You are so not the only one. I have seen many blogs where women 20,30 (like me), and even 40 year olds gush about this. That is actually how I came to read it. I was curious, so I bought the PDF on E-Bay for all the books in the series as well as a freebie called "The Host". Which is beyond AWESOME!! You all have to read it! Anyway, I was so interested that I read all the books in 48 hours. yes, I stayed up most of the night reading after the kids were in bed! I could not put it down.

I think anyone can enjoy the twilight series. I know I do! I dislike it when people say negatives things about it because of what they heard and not pick it up themselves to read it. They think it's for 3rd graders. Ha! Really ignorant people. The series towards the last 2 books are more for adults for those "explicit scenes" if you know what I mean lolz!!!!

I love everything Twilight and I'm 33 with 3 kids! My oldest son got me into the series when he had to read them for school. I have seen both movies and can't wait to see Eclipse... though the movies don't do the books justice. I own all the books and the movies that are out. Stephenie Meyers does a wonderfull job of pulling you into her stories. I have read the Twilight series at least 5 times and just got the book" The Host" for Mother's Day and loved it to. I think it will make a better movie; although it is very much different that the Twilight series. I can't wait to see how they will do the final book.... I hope they give it the time it deserves and do it right!

That got me hooked and I got the books and have been addicted ever since. I am truly a twilight freak. LOL My phone is all twilight ringtones and wallpaper. I made a twilight theme for my windows 7. My kids and my hubby laugh at me but its ok. I can't wait for eclipse. I'm getting tickets to see it in imax. So don't feel like your a dork cuz its awesome. :v)

Well I am right there with you ladies. I too am a HUGE Twilight Series fan. I just really enjoy Stephanie Meyers books and have watched her interviews online. The way she came up with the storyline is simply intriguing to say the least. I like the movies better than the books...I seen the movie Twilight before I had ever picked up a book. My girls kept bugging me to read the books, I refused because it was about vampires. Little did I know they were not your typical throat slashing, blood drinking, vampires.
Eclipse release is June 40th, which is also my 41st Birthday! Happy Birthday to me!!! LOL!!! I am planning on going with a my girls and probably a bunch of their friends. For New Moon there were 3 moms and 22 teenage girls in our group! We have since added 1 man. I think he wants to know what all the hype is about! hahahaha!
If you have not seen the previews for Eclipse be sure you check them out! It is absolutely going to top Twilight and New Moon...they just keep getting better and better!

[deleted account]

I'm 32 and am totally obsessed! I have several friends around my age that love them too. Don't be embarrassed for loving something fun.

Harks back to the time when we experienced first love & I think this story was probably our idea of romance we wanted for ourselves.

I have read the books 6 times, have seen the first movie 4 times in the theater and too many times to count on DVD and on the movie channels at home. The second one, although better made than the first, I have only seen maybe 6 times or so. Just too much Jacob!
