My husband and I are planning our next child and we're undecided on first names for a boy or girl. Middle names would be Kathrine or Michael. HELP

what is your other child's name? I like my names to kind of "fit" together. All of our children have older names, for example.

every name these days tries to be a unique but not too crazy of a baby name. The problem is everyones doing it so your not gunna find an uncommon baby name. I think the best way to get an uncommon name these days is to go back to the old classics (not old but uncommon these days among kids) I worked in public daycare and I could tell you the strangest names i've heard but the weird thing was you could find another one with the same name.

Girls: Hazel, Bonnie, Vicky, Shirley, Judy, Wendy, etc

Boys: Don, Richard, Eugene, Randall, Larry, Billy, Gary, etc

Arabella Katherine (Arabella was popular late 1800's but not now, my daughter constantly gets compliments on her name which of course is Arabella).
We could never decide on a boy's name either, thankfully we had a girl, so no help there :)

We found the name Danya for our little girl in the baby name book. It means a gift from God in Hebrew. And our little guy is named Josiah. I liked different but not crazy baby names too. I wanted people to be able to spell and pronounce the names. Danya (just like Dan - Ya) turned out to be harder for people to figure out than we thought, but we're still happy with the name.

Well I know all too well, how hard it is to find a perfect yet unusual name for a new baby. I have 3 children, my daughter Ashley Nichole(plain jane), My oldest sons name is DeAndre(Dee-ahn-dray) Victor-Luis(unique), and my youngest son is Jordan(last min. named after my sister,also Jordan, we thought we were having a girl Jaydeeliz(Jay-Dee-Leese)... But for you I would say- Truth Michael or Sage Katherine.... Best of luck, Lindsay

My oldest (12 years old) is Hayley. The spelling is a little different so I can never find any of the personalized stuff with her spelling right. My 8 month old is Audrey. I think it's a classy name that isn't all that common. The one on the way isn't named yet, but if it's a girl I like Olivia. When my first daughter was born I came up with Jacey (she just didn't look like a Jacey to me) but it is half of my moms name and half of my dads name ( James + Tracey). Doing something like that is unique plus there is meaning behind it.

Im pregnant with my first and we have had names picked out since WAYY before ever got pregnant.
We've got:

&& Connor Andrew Kenneth.

other names we had picked out were Maelia (may-lee-uh) and McKenzie for girls.

I've always loved Jackson/Jaxon for a little boys name, but my DH doesn't think Jackson Wilson really works, so I'll never be able to use it =(

If you don't want a common name, google the top names for the last few years. I think you said you like Owen and Rylee? Both have become very popular, in the top 50 at least. My boys are Sawyer and Clayton, and my daughter is Katrina. All old-fasioned names that are not used anymore. Hope this helps.

My son is Soren, simple to spell and remember once you hear it but not very popular. Also, Adlai is my other son, this one is a little more complicated, people always want to spell is 100 different ways but it's really only 5 letters and easy for him to write and remember. Plus, it wasn't in the top 1000 names!
