my 5 year old gets these recurring warts on her hands. the freezing process at the dermo is just too painful for her and the Compound W is so harsh on her skin that by the time it kills the warts it just rips off layers of her skin and makes it all raw.
has anyone found any 'at home' remedies that work.
i am so sick of these things coming back over and over!

I have found that vinegar works even better than garlic. Any type of vinegar on a cotton ball with a bandaid. Starts to turn black within a day and then falls off. Make sure that the cotton ball is only touching the wart and not the surrounding skin. This also works really well for nail fungus.

you can also put a piece of garlic on it and a bandage over it all. Within a few days the warts should fall off. This is what my sister did for her daughter and it worked. Though I think you have to change the garlic piece everyday. Not a huge hunk of garlic... Just a slice.

Krystal is right...garlic really does work! Warts are caused by a virus that lives in the dead cells in the outer layer of your skin. The body does not recognize it as a virus because it only attacks dead cells! That is why warts are so persistant. Garlic has strong anti-virus properties that attack the wart virus....it stinks, but it works wonderfully! lol!

yea just a garlic clove, chop a bit off at the end and rub the open bit on the wart, it can take qiute a while depending on how big the wart is but it should eventually go. :)

garlic works great, i had one on my hand when i was 6 my mum rubbed garlic on it 2 times a day and within 3 months it had gone and its never come back. :)
