When I was pregnant with my twins, my children's father wanted me to stay home with them, and I did. It was the best thing I could have ever done, I was the one to teach them their abc's and how to count and walk and eat with a spoon and drink out of a cup and sing and dance and read. I love it! When I had my youngest Kevin, I decided to go back to work when he was 8 months old and I shouldnt have, because he needed me just like the other two did. The twins are 10 and Kevin is 8 now and I have been home with them for the past 4 years and I am loving it! When they go to school I am here and when they come home I am here. I don't miss a beat with my children, although at times I want go back to work.... we shall see!
