We need a middle name for our baby boy!

We are having a baby boy and want to name him Troy but are having a hard time picking a middle name that flows. Our last name is Cochran. We are currently throwing around Troy Everett, Troy Emerson, Troy Asher, and Troy Lucas. Any suggestions or a favorite of those 4?

What a sweet story!  We are definitely going with Troy Emerson or Troy Everett, but it may just take the next 22 weeks to decide!  Thanks everyone!

Quoting Kristine:

I tried out my son's proposed name before he was born, e.g. the best one was yell out his full name (as if to get his attention) in the back garden, to see if it flowed right! Don't know what the neighbors thought.

When we got to hospital we still didn't know which name to go with (we had cut the list down to 3 different first names). We decided to see what our son looked like before we made our decision. As soon as he was born, we both looked at him and said he could could pull off any of the names. So I decided that we should as him, which name he preferred (only 20 minutes old at this stage). So I said, Nicholas Alan Whitehead - no response. Then James Alan Whitehead - no response and finally, Maxwell Alan Whitehead - we got a gurgle! My husband be skeptical, decided to try, so changing the order around, repeated the names. On hearing Maxwell Alan Whitehead again he responded, so that was that. We now have a beautiful little boy aged 3 1/2 called Maxwell Alan Whitehead.

So the moral to my story, how about letting your little boy decide his own name!

I LOVE Troy Everett, it flows nice with Cochran. Plus, it's so original. Best of luck! :) You'll likely know which to choose when you meet him. Please post back and let us all know what you decided! :)

I like Troy Lucas. It's got a formal ring to it and I like that in a name. :o) Good luck!

I like Troy Asher. I love the way it sounds when you say his whole name together. Troy Asher Cochran. Asher is a very cool name.

I guess that doesn't help you out any, huh?
