If there's snow outside you can take the kids out and spray the snow with colored water. If the snow on the sidewalk isn't too deep or icy you can use cookie cutters to make fun shapes. You can also use them as stencils when you're spraying colored water and make fun pictures.

Go to storytime at your local library. Or get in the kitchen and have them help you (age permitting) make something like soup or mac & cheese that is hearty on a cold day.
