my son was very delayed and had swallowing issues so he didn't start really eating till about 3 months ago and he is 18 months. I have to warn you if nobody has you can feed them pretty much whatever they can chew but you only want to introduce one new food every couple of days because if they have a reaction to it you will know which food it was from, but always be on the lookout for allergies, my sister and i were at redlobster and she put ketchup on my sons chicken tenders about a half an hour later we were in an ambulance on the way to the hospital because he had a severe allergic reaction to the ketchup. So just be on the look out for a rash or swelling of the lips and things like that and keep benedryl handy because you never know what they could be allergic to. Hope this helps

My son is only 7 months old and he is a master of finger foods! He turned his nose up to every jar of baby food I ever put in front of him! I started out with gravy and mashed potatoes! Then moved on to Scrambled eggs and green beans and other cooked fruits and veggies! Bit of cheese is one of his favorets! Just start out slow! Put 3 or 4 bits of whatever you are comfy with and see how she does! I will bet she loves it! Yes, she will gag and roll her tongue and "shutter" but that is normal at first! When she gets chewing or "gumming" (like my husband says) down pat you won't be able to keep up with her! Don't freak out about the gravy! It as alot of nutrients in it like thiamine and yes, starches witch yes, is fatty but for a baby that is good especially if you can't get them to eat anything else! I hope this helps a bit! Good Luck!

you can give her almost anything she will eat...as long as its cooked and soft enough for her to bite she should do fine I give my son a little of everything we eat as well as baby jar food still and he does great just still stay away from peanuts and honey

We started our son on table foods as soon as he could pick them up. I googled babies first foods to find some ideas. Everything need to be soft and in small pieces at first. Our Dr. said not to feed him anything like Cheerios until he could pinch them between two fingers.
Try bananas, cheese, avocados, peaches, soft pears, flaky fish, green beans. slashed peas, and roasted veggies. Good luck!

Dice foods in to small cubes and watch her carefully to see how well she is chewing. Cheerios are a great snack food and so are Gerber Puffs. My son loved mashed sweet potatoes and diced cooked carrots and green beans. I also gave him pasta and tiny little bites of cheese and bread. You can also dice fruits and berries. Just be careful because grapes can choke them. I always cut them in to fourths.

I found that pastas are great and anything soft that can be either mushed or chopped and I always liked the long finger cookies they are hard and get mushy as they eat them, but it gives them something for their gums to chew on.

When my son was that age he ate everything in Gerber's Crawler stage, cooked veggies, banana's, pastas, and soft fruits. He couldn't handle meats yet so for protien he ate cheeses, yogurts, and his soy milk. Now at 13 months he eats everything I eat as well as the Gerber Toddler snacks/meals and even most the Gerber Preschooler snacks/meals.

As long as everything you give her is in small pieces she should be fine. Small pieces of bread, crackers, carrots, peas.

I would try soft things until she gets used to it, start with banana, water melon, rock melon etc cooked carrots are also a good idea and any other cooked soft veggies and then move onto toast and stuff like that, it's normal for them to gag a little bit when they first start trying but just watch her and make sure shes not choking or gasping, but I'm sure she will be fine and she'll probably love it.
