well you can make money off them by selling them like a yard sale or flea market.. you can sell them to places like reruns for weeones or kids corner or once upon a child... I am giving my sons old clothes to a friend that i grew up with who is expecting a little boy with his wife in october... but the clothes i absolutely love and can't get rid of i am keeping and am going to make a quilt for my son out of and the gender neutral stuff i really like i am keeping for future children... or you could also donate to a local homeless shelter or post on ebay or craigslist! hope this helps!

DD only seems to grow taller so she wears a lot of her clothes until they are near shreds. As school clothes get stained they become play clothes. I cut her too short pants into shorts or capris and usually buy the time her waist outgrows and item it's so worn that it's not worth much more than a cleaning rag. We are a very stain attracting family so I don't think I could ever donate or sell an item of her clothing.

Some cities have a place where you can donate and also benefit from the circle - like a place someone set up to encourage mothers to help other mothers. A trade? :) I know the place by us has a contact that sews a quilt for every new mommy. It is wonderful and I thought such a nice thing. So not only does this place try to find someone giving away a used crib, to give to someone needing a crib, they also gift and give. So sweet.
There's also swap meets, garage sales and well, can use them for crafts.... like making pillows, quilts, etc.
