what is your definition of "me time"

me time...I think it's sad when I think my me time is when my bf gets home from work and I then have to prepare dinner and and do the washing ans wash the dishes and wash sons bottles. by the time thats all done time for me to put son to bed and then we go to bed and start all over again. ok so i get the ocasional weekend night out but I know my bf hates being the sober one so it's never really a fun night when theres so much guilt..hmmm ...life

I was just reading one of the mom's said her free time is when her bf is they to help, I find it is more work when he is around b/c I run a DC and I have 5 kids including my own 3. He doesn't take our kids when Iam still working.
Are there any other mom's who feel the same way???

I care very much, I never get free time and would give my sole for some free time.
As close as I get to free time is food shopping by myself and we all know that, thats no fun ( not free time ) even that is a huff and puff if i don't take at least 1 kid. ( we have three ).
My free time is when the kids go to be and I do the samething as you do Antoinette I watch t.v and as you said NOT FREE TIME. I really feel trapped most of the time b/c I can't go anywhere with hearing about it forever or getting a roll of the eyes and huff and puffing.
I EVER go anywhere without my family unless as i said Iam going food shopping and even that i would say 98% they come.

My "me" time is right now. Hubby's off to work, daughter is off to school, my adult stepson is still sleeping, I'll take a couple of hours to drink coffee and play around on the computer before starting in on my chores for the day.

My alone or me time is when the baby naps or when my boyfriend is here to help watch the baby and I can get work done. He lets me go out so I can pursue my outside interests like going out to karaoke or music jams so I can work on my voice. I will also go out and perform stand up comedy, when the mood hits. Another times is when I go check on a friend's place - who is out of town and I can sit and relax.

I don't even know what that is anymore. I love my kids, but I do need some ME time. Just having a bath without disruptions is rare these days. I want time to maybe go to a Gym or for a coffee with friends. Is that too much?

lol ladies, now i feel better, it's just when your like totally over it. and every feeling you had hits the roof, and your saying to yourself i have to get out more... lol and then i never do..but i do love spending time with my family almost 24/7. n yes the bathroom is a group activity, with my lil one, and if not. she's banging down the door..lol ahh the joys of motherhood!!

There is an hour between when my son goes to bed and when my husband gets home from work. This is usually when I watch something other than Nick Jr. I also get my ''me time'' by going to the grocery store by myself. Even if its just 30 minutes or an hour usually get some alone time during the day. I think it makes us better parents when we take time out of the day to do something for ourselves.

Ha ha , I know personal space is a thing of the past along with manicured nails, good hair days and decent clothes that don't have baby puke down them. But when I see my kids smiling and having fun together somehow all that annoy bad stuff just disappears

For me, "me time" is anything I do for myself. I have recently joined a community choir, so I leave the baby with my husband and go out myself. I don't have to be by myself for me time, I just make sure that I am benefiting from it.

Manicure/pedicure for sure. Maybe a facial or a massage. Reading a good book. Watching a movie with my darling husband. Usually in the evenings, after kids are bed, or on the weekends, but sometimes the dishes gotta wait...am I right?!

"Me time" would involve watching tv in quite. Taking a nice hot bath or sit down and read a book in peace and quite!! Snuggling up to my hubby and watching a good movie!

Normally me time is when the kids go to bed and so does the hubby. It's just nice to have a few minutes without someone climbing on me or wanting a drink or snack or the hubby wanting something else "wink wink". I get so stressed out during the day, because the hubby leaves for work really early in the morning (usually 2-3am) and doesn't get home til supper time or a little after. So, most of the day it is me against kids all alone (and sadly they normally win hahaha) Lately though, I haven't had any me time, because I am prego and have been so exhausted that I fall asleep as soon as everyone else does and I can't seem to drag my butt out of bed until the kids are up and wanting breakfast. I don't feel I need a lot of me time, because I really do enjoy being with my kids, but sometimes it's nice to know there is more to me than just a mom/wife.

I know I don't get enough if any of it and certainly miss it but what can you really do right? I have two daughters, my oldest Trinity just turned 2 in January and my youngest Dyllun will be 1 in May. It seems one of them is always awake and they usually don't get to bed till some time between 8 and 9 and by then all I wanna do is lay down and be lazy!

my free time is once my lil one goes to bed at night and i can have a bath in peace or watch a soap and the a snuggle with my hubby. i dont really want anymore out of me time as he will soon me grown up and ill probably miss not having enough hours in the day. i am going to try and start goin swimmin once a week when my hubby finishes work early on a friday so i suppose thats classed as me time.
