WIth my first I craved pinapple all the time and ate it a lot and I was dialated 1cm at 37 weeks, 2 cm at 38 weeks, 4 cm at 39 weeks and then was 5 cm when I went into labor on my due date. I didn't even know about it helping prep for labor then but I will definately start to eat/drink pinapple a lot in the next couple of weeks (I'm 30 right now) and see if that and a lot of walking will make things as easy as last time.

Good Luck!

BTW... even sex is not guaranteed to bring on labor... we tried many times with #3 and she was still 4 days late. Baby will come when they're ready.

i tried it at 37 weeks and nothing...ended up with an emergency c section for the first and at 36 weeks for my 2nd opted for another c section. i know your getting to the end and you think your done but if the baby's not ready to come out nothing you do will make it come out any faster. i tried everything with my first and she was 3 days late.

I was just having this conversation with my sister and she found this (somewhere on the internet not sure where)................

"The more conservative stance is that red raspberry leaf can cause minor spotting in the beginning of a pregnancy, and some U.K. midwives claim an increase in miscarriage rates. Contact your midwife, herbalist or physician for more information. If you're thinking about using it, to be safe, just wait until you're 36 weeks along.

Drink Pregnancy tea- it has raspberry leaf in it...same company that makes the mother's milk, post pregnancy. I drank lots of teas when pregnant, it's wonderful.
You trying to induce labor-
Walk a lot
Have sex a lot
Stretch a lot
Labor will come naturally, but you need to be ready!
I had my first and second at 38 weeks and my third at 39 weeks.
Good luck with everything, it is the most amazing thing in the world!

Red leaf Rasberry tea just perpares your body for labour. The only ways i know how to bring on labour that are natural is to walk lots and have sex!

I did drink a ton of pineapple juice and I have to say it did nothing for me except gave me heartburn! I ended up having my daughter on my due date. the only thing that helped was spicey foods and that put me into labor. I tried everything I could starting at 36 weeks and I can say it was all a waste! Not to mention a lot of things made me sick.(it was the only time I was sick in my pregnancy) I do recomend kegals as much as you can possibly do in a day! and just relax I wish I would have done that more!!!!!

Red Raspberry leaf tea you can start at any time. As for bringing labor on... both raspberry tea and pineapple just will just help prep your body for labor, and definitely help things go smoother, but it won't start anything if the baby's not ready.

I tried every natural induction I could think of with my first and third... nothing worked and they were both late (#1 was 7 days "late", #3 was 4 days "late"). But my second decided to come 17 days early after a "playful" morning with DH... For the other two I ended up just waiting until they were ready. There's no use rushing things. Babies will come when they are ready, and artificial induction usually causes more problems than necessary.

I waited until my doctor said the baby is ready. It was at one of my last appointments. My son was 3 weeks early, and my daughter was 10 days early.
