why... you know my daycare rarely will give my son juice and hes 2 1/2. apparently according to the experts, its not really good for babies and toddlers. if you are trying to save money on formula or something, be prepared for huge dentist bills because juice will rot their teeth :(

Babies don't need anything other than breastmilk or formula for the first six months. Apple juice is just unnecessary sugar.

Have to agree with the others. And when you do give juice remember to dilute it with water 1/2 n 1/2.

When your pediatrician advises it. And many pediatricians advise against giving juice to children. Most juice contains sugar that children, especially babies, don't need.

you can give yr baby juice at 6 months but dilute it most water and some juice as she gets older add less water more juice.... I recommend NOT putting it in a bottle though you will ask for trouble when it comes time to take bottle away I had my son on sippy's by 7 months and off bottle by 10 try the sippy's made for baby's it will make it easer as she wont know something other then formula come in a bottle GOOD LUCK :)

My Pedi told us that we could give her juices when she turned 6 months old, as long as she wasn't over weight....we had to wait until 7 months, and she doesnt' even like it .LOL

My daughter is 7 months old ,and I am jst now introducing diluted juice to her. I buy the tiny 4 oz gerber baby juices and only give it to her with her snack puffs,so 1 of those 4 oz bottles will last me 2 days.

my son is 5 mths old and my pediatriction said it was perfectly ok as long as it is a small amt, i usually fix one small sippy cup with mostly water and a lil juice and let him sip on it when he is thirsty throughout the day, after he runs out all he gets is water besides his formula

My doctor said not until 1 year. However I started at 9 months and only at little at a time to see how she would react to it. She loved it.

It is recommended, nothing but Breastmilk/formula until 6 months, and than, no more than 4 oz in a day.
