When did you announce that you were expecting again?

what haley?? that is soo not what I said.. of course people will understand when u said u have a miscarriage. I was saying that it was really hard to tell people i was not longer expecting because it made me fall apart everytime i had to tell someone i miscarried because it was so heart breaking. after i had my first miscarriage i have people coming up to me for months after tell me congrats and id have to correct them which was very depressing.

There is less of a chance of having a miscarriage after the first trimester is up. It doesn't mean you won't have one later on. So the way I look at it, you could have to break that kind of news at any point within a pregnancy whether it's only a few weeks into the pregnancy or months into it. I say, announce it when you feel most comfortable and that's it.

I could care less what people think if I told them I had a miscarriage. Miscarriages are NO ONES fault!

well when i had my daughter it was a surprise and we were not married yet so we were soo scared so we just sat down and told them. but when i got pregnant again we told them at xmas i wrote a poem i found on the internet (from unborn baby to grandparents) in a xmas card and they LOVED IT. (i was 7 weeks when i announced it but then i lost baby at 10 weeks. I got pregnant again and i had planned to announce it this xmas at 10 weeks but sadly i started spotting at the end of november and rushed to the hospital soo the family found out because i needed a babysitter for my daughter so they found out early.. i lost the baby on dec 1.



I will never announce a pregnant until im out of the first trimester ever again.. its very hard to have to explain to people that your no longer expecting

I'll tell you how I found out my sister was pregnant with my second niece(who just turned 6.) She called and asked me if I still had my son's crib. She was coming up that day to visit us. I figured it out, got excited, and didn't tell anyone. She told everyone when my parents got home from work.

We waited til I was about 12 weeks along and told at Christmas. We had an ultrasound done a couple of days before Xmas and wrapped the pics up for my parents and IL's like another gift but made sure that they opened it last so the pics werent thrown away with the rest of the garbage. They were very shocked!!!

I told my family with a cake that said were expecting on it and then we told my husbands family by putting a shirt on my daughter that said I am a big sister. It was a lot of fun. We announced it the day we found out because we happened to have family coming over that night.

I waited til after my first trimester. Didn't want the pity or rude comments from people if I miscarried. I did tell my coworkers who worked very closely with my in my lab. They would've known anyway. :)

Many people wait till the end of the first trimester because the risk of miscarrying is less. I didn't wait and it was hard to unexplain it to everyone.

We made homemade calanders of the kids and on the month we were due with #3 we put the first ultrasound picture.

with my first we told them on fathers day, a few days after we found out. with my second we weren't sure when to tell them as we found out 3 days before we discovered we were pregnant that my SIL was pregnant as well. We ended up telling them at about 10 weeks. With this one, I knew I was pregnant like the moment it happened. But we waited until we got a positive pregnancy test and then bought my daughter a onesie that said big sister. They're not quite sure what to think this time around as i'm almost 11 weeks and my daughter just turned one last friday....

With the first and second we told family right away. With this current pregnancy, we waited a couple of weeks and told family, then waited a couple more weeks and told close friends and now we just told everyone else basically (i'm 12 weeks).

I told with my first, second and third immediately. I waited till I was 13 wks before I announced #4.

I told my mom right away and my MIL a week or so later after her cat got sick (so she would know why we were staying away). Family and my husband's boss were told after our first appointment. Everyone else found out when I was around 10-12 weeks.

We didn't want to deal with the pitty from everyone if we lost another one.

Your idea is cute. It would be fun to suprise family in such a way.
